  • I love this. Big Chief, like Rex Nelon and George Younce, was classy. I never saw them perform live, but from the wonderful videos on Youtube I notice a drastic distinction between Chief and most of today's bass singers. Chief was an entertainer because he got into the music he was singing. Today's basses are often entertainers because of one of two things: They either make a HUGE deal of the fact that they sing low or they goof around. Big Chief should be the model.

  • I never got to see them either. You're VERY right about Chief. Never seem

like one to boast or brag. He simply

loved what he did. No doubt he's the

sandard that all bass players should

    strive for today.

  • 5 stars no doubt! I don't know of a group today that can match the charisma they had.

  • Big Chief was fabulous, one of a kind! His charisma jumps out of the screen. It's easy to see why he was Elvis' favourite and EP copied Big Chief's leg shaking and hand movements, by his own admission. Big Chief always looked the business too, dressed as sharp a razor!

  • Excellent! Chief was fabulous. So were the rest of the group. But I will say this, there are some great young talented bass singers today. Gene McDonald, Mike Allen and Aaron McCune, to name a few, are doing fantastic work!

  • Lived, He Loved Me

  • My favorite song from there "Happy Sound" album. Thanks!

  • This was another great blessing I love every note of this one that is EVERY note. 5*****.
