man, Dan is amazing, and has written so many great songs, some of my faves are "Jail" "Rome" and this one !!!

it is too bad he is not more well known, and people seem to dismiss him as just a Bob Dylan wannabe, while I admit he has some similarities to his voice, he still writes great songs with meaning.

As a testament to his songwriting prowess, Dan Bern has so many songs that would work well as cartoons; however, 'No Missing Link' really only focuses on one particular motif, which, if you pay careful attention during the 'President' cartoon, you can see played out.

Watch the background around the 3 minute mark and you'll see what I'm talking about.

There's nothing wrong with extraterrestrial/monkey loving. Some parts are reminiscent of Schoolhouse Rock; however, the overwhelming majority is 'inspired by' The Simpsons.
