@IcyFlameFilms EarthBound Zero is the FAN name. The real US name is Earth Bound, but it was never released in the US, so Mother 2 was called EarthBound in US. It's to tell the difference between the 2 games.

Earthbound for SNES was one of my favorite games ever, I actually got it on launch, I can still remember the day...sadly my SNES collection was stolen a few years ago...can't believe that game goes for over $100

Someday I'd really love to buy Starfox 2, but that is $100 because of the FX chip...I'm not a big fan of emulation, this person does such a great job, with the labels and everything making it look good, these games feel like actual releases. I'd like to get the NES Mini-Putt too since I always played the Commodore 64 version as a kid. Hit the Ice is another unreleased finished game I'd love to buy

Neo Demiforce bought a proto of EarthBound Zero and just dumped it badly so he made a one byte hack and put ZERO with a dot in the O but later someone found out that the game froze in the Live House so a guy changed the zero to blue to fix it.

Started playing this. Just realized how much grinding there is in the game- starmen.net's walkthrough says to get to level 12-14 before going to the zoo, and I'm at about level 8. :(

To guatedude13: Make sure it's not a fake. Certain Earthbound cartridges for NES are dodgy and fake. You gotta make sure it's Earthbound Zero.

To mustachio31: The cast of the original Mother was Ninten (who looks a LOT like Ness), Ana (Again, a lot like Paula), Teddy and Lloyd (who Jeff would be based off of). In Mother 3, though, things would be slightly different.

Lucas is, of course, like Ninten and Ness. Kumatora is said to be a descendant of Poo, as she is royalty and can use PSI. She's a tomboy, too.

Duster is the utility belt, like Jeff.

Boney is, of course, the dog alternate to King. Salsa and Samba join, too.

well somebody did, an old game collector, but there was someone who was already transelating it and he figured if nintendo already did the work for him then why bother. so the game collector and the transelator came to an agreement, and thus, EB0 was released to the public.

Actually, FCE Ultra IMO is the best emulator for NES games. Jnes is a good second and I'm not sure what else there is but I use mostly FCE. The programmer for FCE said that he's not going to improve his emulator anymore since it's basically perfect. 99% of the games work flawlessly. :)

Okay so I just downloaded a 4 and a half star NES emulator and then I downloaded the EB Zero ROM... ok I am thinking yes its actually going to work this time, but NOOO it says the file is corrupt. Are you using Nesticle? I had that same problem. If you have windows, don't get the X.XX version. My problem was the ROMs themselves were bad. I finally found a good one while searching Google. I don't remember exactly where I got it, but I remember it was off of an ROM forum where some guy was asking where to get the EB-0 ROM. The first reply didn't work, but the second one did. Just keep searching.

Actualy, as of now... I GOT IT TO WORK YAY!!!!11!!11!oneone!111!!i! I tell you it plays preetty smoothly, but its kinda hard, like they give you harder enemies most of the time that you are probably not ready for just yet... meh... I give it 9.8, its a great blockbuster of a game and I reaaally like it, but I still Prefer EarthBound... I have and played Mother 3(Japanese) I'd probably like that OVER 9000!!! Times more if it was in english... heck, probably even more than EarthBound.

Thats why I still like EarthBound better than this... but don't hear me wrong, I DO love EB Zero, its just that EarthBound there is nothing more you could ask for(well a little sprint feature wouldn't have killed anyone...) even though most RPGs where you can't see your enemies like: Final Fantasy, Pokemon, or Phantasy Star... I just deal with it... but games like: EarthBound 1 and 2 or the Mario RPG games, you can see the enemies and I find that more helpful.

Afterwards a group of people "barrowed" the cartridge, (Paying around $400 to do so) dumped the data and made it into a rom.
