@vectrabarnie actually it's not an automatic is a twin clutch dsg. Same as the buggati veyron and ferreri 458 italia all formula 1 and high end super cars uses dsg semi automatics. Do your homework before speaking out your ass
Can someone explain to me how Luanch control works...do you keep your foot on the brake and give it revs....or does the clutch release as soon as you hit a certain amount of revs??
its a program, while you hold the brake and put the pedal all the way to the floor. it holds the engine at a certain rev and when you release the brake the clutch engages.
Hey, tell me something, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I got a 09 GTI 2.0 turbo and every time I try to use LC, when I release the brake the wheels just keep spinning on the ground and it takes a moment for the car to move. Any recommendations?
What youre doing is going too hard on the throttle. Dont slam the pedal to the floor, gradually push the throttle down. Once you play around with it you'll know how hard you can push the throttle without spinning the tyres :)
hey volker, is this the 2003 - 2006 model? i think so right? Do all these 3.2 DSG models have launch control? i am planning to buy one... thanks for the answer..

I got about 5 seconds with my '04 TT 3.2 too.
To engage LC:
1. disable ESP
2. shift into S or Tiptronic
3. hold brake with left foot, while building up revs to 3200rpm
4. release brake
