  • I was there. This dude is legit. To the guy saying this deadlift was gay....This dude squatted 750 raw at this meet. He can pull just as much conventional as he can sumo (in fact most people can) but being that he squatted with a narrow stance Im guessing he did opposite stances to preserve strength.

  • Last time I checked sumo deadlfiting was real deadlfiting.

  • @irondoc1963

Sumo deadlifting isn't as difficult because you have a wider base and a shorter distance to travel. It's fine if you do it, but I think he was only doing it in this video so he didn't tire himself out. A lot of lifters do that when they have to do multiple 1rms in meets.

  • @Bookstop1337 For many, sumo deadlifting is more difficult because there is less torque on the bar and as a result it is more difficult to break it from the ground and to lock it out. My conventional deadlift trumps my sumo deadlift by around 90lbs.

  • that isnt a fucking deadlift! thats bullshit sumo deadlift for fags who cant do real lifting

  • MOTHER FUCKER! At 220 lbs? Way about 3x and it looked goddam effortless. Just wtf..

  • thats a Sumo Dead Lift

  • how tall is this guy?

  • THIS GUY IS A FUCKING BEAST

  • Ralph should have had 710 on the next attempt were it not for his grip. He should wear wrist wraps and give himself a "GI Joe" grip. They are allowed for raw lifts.

  • Wrist wraps are not allowed except in strongman.

  • wrong. STRAPS are not allowed. Wrist wraps are allowed.

  • You're right, I was thinking straps. Wrist wraps are only allowed in certain RAW federations though, and really only help stabilize your wrist on bench.

  • Hehe, if you wrap wrist wraps tight enough, you can give yourself a "GI Joe grip". You'll see if you try it. Wrap them so tight that you actually can't open your fist; you have to use the bar to pry your grip open. Needless to say it helps with grip but is very painful. You don't want to keep them on for very long when you do that.

  • No there not, not at all.
