hell yeah man, my friend and i became very interested in German after listening to Rammstein too! lol, yeah we were still in middle school and i got quite a few people into the band as well. it's only recently that i've seriously devoted a lot of time to learning deutsch, i wish i really tried back then but it's never too late :D

i would just like to add that i also love poetry and literature, that's actually another reason why i'm learning German, reading is probably my favorite hobby, and i agree, hearing a poem in another language is freakin' sweet lol.

I can relate to your story about being disappointed that German wasn't taught at your school. I wanted to study French badly, and when my school finally offered it, it was taught by the gym teacher who couldn't speak French! A wasted year, and in those days, there was no internet!
