I'm glad we havent had such devastating rainfall over this summer.. we live up near Matlock and the canal that runs through our garden usually floods the surrounding areas... it doesnt normally reach the house though :)
well i'm glad i've got a landie not only do i rescue people in this sort of weather it's also more economical and enviromently friendly than your v8 sports cars that you see around london
get used to it, global warming is because of were we are in the galaxy. this is only the beginning, wait till next year and the next and you will see more flooding, check out planet nibiru orbit and you see its on its way back towards the sun..the world hasnt seen nothing yet..magnetic pole shift..now that will be dreadfull..a bit of water is nothing compared to whats to come..are you ready????
Last year, in the heatwave, everyne was saying 'this is the future because of global warming'. Now they're saying the same with the rain and the floods. Which one is it?
Great video mate.ive linked my 2 videos of the flood(thats if ive done it correctly.lol) .Its nice to capture, what will soon go down in History.and our videos will be seen many times.thanks again for your kind comments on my video.
Wow, scary to see how much water is running through Derbyshire, and the speed it's travelling at! Excellent video and bound to be great archive footage for the future.
Top video! Hadn;t reaslised just how bad things were in part sof Derby - thought we'd got away with it compared to other places. Love the "Training as Usual" shot! Plus the look on the other cyclists faces once you've passed them. You can just see them thinking "well he's just gone through and not drowned - so what the hell!"
We live up on the hill over Milford way, top of the valley from this. My neighbour has lived in his house 56 years and he said he's never seen it this bad before. Quite something, especially after reading that article on the the 1960s on your site. Thanks for posting this. Your crazy riding home through the water like that ;)
hi everyone in derbyshire i woke up yesterday to find that my house on tamworth street duffield had flooded the derwent is about 60 yards from my house causeing at least £1300 worth of dammage
just as vid shows. me my daughter an litte grandson all walked up the path way in darley park only got half way feet wet dint want to risk all the way with a little one scary but had to see it
Thanks for posting this. I remember the floods of 1965 when the depth of water under the Nottingham Road railway bridge was about 12 feet and the only dry path to Chaddesden was along the railway embankment.
This is the shape of years to come I think, where I live its not bad at all but in the past I have worked in flooded areas pumping out, its heart breaking to see all the stuff wrecked, need to start building on higher ground. Thanks for posting.
'Training as Normal' sign was good. Where I live ive been extremely lucky. Just the odd blocked drain here and there nothing major as seen on the news.
its shawn dykes fault he jumped so yh his fault not ours

i wouldnt mind derby city center burst its banks .... just to see what would have happened

Hopefully, it would have washed Derby away. It wouldn't be missed, that's for sure.
But don't take my word for it - ask the parents of the late Shaun Dykes.
