  • The guitar you refer to was built by Scott Morgan (the player). Both he and his Dad, (Tom) are excellent luthiers. Tom is a recognized IBMA Pioneer of Bluegrass. I spoke with Tom yesterday and he still does some instrument repair and lives there in the Dayton, TN area. You should be able to find contact info for him via Google or Zabba search.

The instrumental at the end ," Neeley's Bend" was recorded at our studio with Binaural mikes in Harriman, TN. The master tapes are available to hear at ETSU, J.City, TN. Archives of Apalachia.

  • Great Benny.- Thanks for the memories.

  • It is great to have this wonderful Benny Williams music. He was a major part of the Bill Monroe sound. What a versatile musician! Listen to the great harmony he and Bill had on "Never Again"---the epitomy of hard bluegrass music--the music of America.
