  • I find it annoying how it preaches the message that a belief in god and Christianity is needed to make a marriage work (yeah I know it's a christian movie, it didn't really surprise me) From my experience, this really isn't the case. Kind of funny considering evangelical Christians have one of the highest divorce rates in the country (higher than atheists) My agnostic parents have been happily married for over 30 years and my atheist grandparents were married for over 50 until one of them died.

  • "Never leave your partner behind". If you weren't smart enough to get the trite fire fighting analogy, they're kind enough spell it out for you at the end of the trailer.

  • $500k budget. 4th place opening and a $30+ million box office run. To quote Coach Taylor from "Facing the Giants": "What's impossible with God?"

  • I have been a firefighter for 15 years, I am now 32 years old. I almost got married, I am a Deacon at my church. My former Fiancee and I watched this movie together. I may never get married but I will serve Jesus Christ until he calls me home one day. I will be a firefighter until the day I die. I loved my ex but I Love God more and I wouldn't bend into her way of living that is why we didn't make it. If I could tell people one thing it is to always Trust Jesus not just with your heart but your

  • Kirk looks good! Thankfully some actors actually take care of themselves- Will watch this soon :)

  • I've watched this movie several times and it seems I will never get tired or bored to watch it! Its central theme is restoring a marriage, but I think we can take the principles of the "Love dare" from the film and apply them in our everyday life. I've already used the idea of the "Love dare" in 3 different kinds of relationships and there is some positive change in all of them! God helped me a lot.

  • This looks absolutely hilarious!!!

  • Good to see Kirk Cameron after all these DECADES. I last saw him at the cinema in the film Like Father, Like Son with the late, great Dudley Moore. Good work, Kirk. You still have it.

  • This is the best Unintentional Comedy movie Ever. I recommend it for the laughs. Kirk Cameron and an all-star cast of jagoffs

  • this looks horrible his wife is skanky

  • i loooooooooooooooove this movie it is soooooooooooo good

  • very touching movie! its incredible how you can lose sight on so much things in life an treat the people around you bad. an when you watch this movie ..it hits home.this movie helped me in ways i cant explain.i found god when i watched it an now my life has changed an chaged the outlook on life an those around me

  • I thought the movie was terrible. Interestingly, I watched the whole thing and didn't realize it was Cameron. He looks better with that curly hair

  • my teacher in pediatric nursing recommended this to us. i am definitely goin to watch this..

    just a timely movie..

people just need to watch movies like this so as to wake us from this dreadful and dangerous world.

we will all know that God is still the ONLY key to have our deepest desires answered.

"Delight yourself unto the Lord and He will give the desires of your heart."

    -psalms 37:4

  • I still cry when I watch this!

  • @abbyglennford I did too. This movie sucks. I could've rented "Avatar".

  • My husband hates sex (even hated to do the deed with his beautiful ex's). Instead of intimacy He turns to porn. I believe God can mightily change anything and I love God! I am getting a divorce though because of his unrepentant sexual immorality. He has a choice and made it. It's sad because we still love each other (for 11 years) and treat each other very well. He detests the idea of sexual relations. I detest the idea of having a sexless marriage.

  • i have already watched this movie 10 TIMES!!..hahahaha

  • argh! this is such a good movie!!!!!!!!!

  • this is my favorite movie ever

  • awsome!!!!!!!!

  • this movie is awesome. it just shows the power the god can have through a few simple words, actions and prayers

  • I thought this was a great film! I used to live in Albany Ga where this was filmed. I know someone who goes to Sherwood Baptist. I asked them if the church was working on another movie. They told me the church is currently writing the next one!

  • i don't believe in god

  • i want to have a book of this movie... this movie moved me ^_^

  • does anyone know what the song at the end is called ?

  • Love Is Not A Fight

  • i like the movie and even bought both the DVD and the book itself ! Well, i agree whether you are a Christian or not / young or old, view it as a movie which gives some insight on how to maintain a marriage

  • God will do the rest.

  • It seems like anytime people make a good clean family movie some people always find something bad to say about. there may have been only one hollywood actor in this, but at least eveyone who was in it was real. meaning they knew and belived what was being done and said. Just because this had a christian messsage doesn't mean anything is wrong with. It's alot better that some of the trash that Hollwoood has put out. It still did well at the box office.

  • :D i agree.

  • YES!!!

  • This movie looks like a major tearjerker.

  • i know

  • I saw this movie not too long ago, and it was good, but very sad! D=

  • You did not see the end then.

  • i love this movie and i have both the dvd and the novel !

  • I would love to have to bok. Is it as good as the movie?

  • yes, there were some extra scenes mentioned in the book but not in the movie...

  • im a teen and i love the book (no i did not get raped and im not married)

  • I agree the acting was not terrific, but the story line was wonderful. This was an EXCELLENT movie. I just wish more people would watch it with an open mind and learn some lessons about how to make a marriage work.

  • @Whiteberry77 AMEN!!!

  • @Whiteberry77 LOL you taking advice from a movie to make marriage work is the first wrong step you are making and its true for anything in life I agree that the story line is awesome i just wish someone with a budget and a talent would have made it

  • This movie is for us old fogies, too. We DADs need to help our kids like old man Holt did!

  • yay im exited now we r watching this at church tonight =)

  • this movie rox!!:D

  • The PROBLE is with The Wife and her PMS...! MOST Women loose their IDENITY when their HUSBANDS are successufl...!

FOLLOWING Your HEART, is NOT the Answer!

(Jeremiah 17:9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?

    Thanks, RR.

  • i love this movie soooooooooooooo much!!!

  • This was an amazing movie : )

  • i luv the part when he challenges his friend at the fire department to drink hot sauce in under :23 seconds. his bottle was actually filled with tomato juice. neways, this movie was absolutely amazing and i TOTALLY recommend it.

  • *LOL* yah I remember that part...

my brother loves this movie..haven't seen the whole movie yet. I'll definitely watch it later..

    God bless!

  • i realize, that whenn Kirk Cameron yells, he sounds exactly the same as when he was young! onof my favorite lines from the movie is,"how can i love someone, who is constantly rejecting me?" good, oh and "i love you more." i'm watching this tonight!

  • This movie is amazing, I just ended a realationship on a very bitter note and I was going thru things similar to what goes on in the movie....and I jumped into a realationship shortly after and it ended because I hadent sorted things out from the first relaionship, not I am stuck at a cross road and I dont know what to do....this movie just gave me faith that no matter what I do...who I end up with....I have to not give up on myslef or God.....

  • Why is a 'pastor' any more enlightened or closer to the truth than any other individual? Sorry.

  • Most aren't & claim to be something they're not, like lots of Christians. Only the wisdom God-called pastors can be trusted. They are HIS 'tools' if you will to teach us. The office they hold, IF truly God-called, enables them to have wisdom others don't have. It's nothing mystical. Also, read the King James- all the answers are there-knowing 4 sure where you will go when u die, have your sins forgiven....and everything in between. "Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift..." 2 Cor. 9:15

  • oooooooh, i really like the part where he says his finger is gonna have to heal with the ring on it, and when he gives her the roses and the card that says, " i love you more" *tears*

  • i know! i love those parts, too.

although i didn't get the "i love you more" part until AFTER i watched it and someone cleared it up for me.

haha. but then it was really sweet. :]

  • this was definetly the best movie i saw this year, i cried so many times, and AAH, it was just amazing

  • Isn't it time for you christians to celebrate the birth of christ on his arbitrarily assigned DOB? We got our dog from the shelter. We picked a random day to be his birthday since we had no idea what his real DOB was. But then again he was a dog....

  • Everyone is still praying for you. Im sorry you have been hurt in the past by christians, but you cant let that change whats right and wrong.

With all your posts here, its obvious a walk with God is very important to you, you are just trying hard not to face it in your life, and are fighting it. Put your questions in the word, not youtube, catholic school, or what someon says, and you will find your answers for yourself. Its all there, just read and pray for understanding.

  • I went to a funeral mass right before Xmas. Priest turned wine into blood and produced the body of christ. The microphone kept squelching. Amazing that the priest could perform the transformations, but couldn't fix the microphone. Unreal. People buy into this hocus pocus shit. Keep praying though, it'll keep you busy.

  • Sounds to me like you have issue's with catholic beliefs, have you ever thought about visiting other churches? I for one would never believe Priests turning wine into blood, etc. I personally dont even take communion. My belief is the "new wine", communion, etc, is the Holy Spirit, and we are having communion when we whorship him in Spirit...........

    Continued in next posting

  • The point is, everyones different. Dont listen to others, find out for yourself. If you dont agree with a teaching, thats perfectly fine! But seek hard to find the truth as best as you see by praying and studying. Dont just form quick easy opinions. Often the truth isnt what we want to admitt it is. Life isnt easy, neither is serving God. You have to try and push through hard times, just like every day life. There are many churches out there who are fake, etc. Look around, find a GOOD pastor.

  • I could read a book written 100 years ago and re-write it as my own version. It would be plagiarism. I don't think they had copywrite laws when the bible was written. Still haven't answered the apatosarus question. Or have you and your 'bible-speak' is throwing me off? And as for you not being 'dead set' against homosexuals, I'm sure everyone in Greenwhich Village is breating a sigh of relief. How big of you.

  • Because I mention buddhism you think I'm a buddhist. Interesting.

  • "They" is a pronoun used to refer to a group of people not to imply your affiliation. From what I've read and heard Buddhists are suppose to be people who have found a way to true inner peace and happiness which obviously discounts you entirely.

I agree Dec. 25th is a arbitrary day set aside for the celebration of Christ. It's not biblically sound and for the most part society has turned it into a cash cow.

  • People have described Bigfoot, the Abominable Snowman, and the Loch Ness Monster. I don't believe in them either

  • One big difference is that the Bible was written by several individuals over thousands of years yet their stories and experiences are all the same.

  • So in Old Testament times, dinosaurs were referred to as dragons. A generic term that covered animals that ran from the size of a chicken to the mighty T-Rex. Eskimos have a million words for 'snow', but OT people didn't differentiate between dinosaurs.

  • 1 Apatosaurus (formerly Brontosaurus) was 75 feet long and weighed in at 25 tons. Noah was somehow supposed to have wrangled two of these guys on his ark during the flood. Also their fossil remains were found in N. America. Noah had to travel to Oklahoma to get 2 of these pets. Come on people..logic..it's not a bad thing.

  • I'm good with the logic aspect of things. Tell me why is it that you assume that the dinosaurs that were on the arc were full-grown at the time?

I'm not a dinosaur person but aren't there like over 600 names of dinosaurs but only like 50 some different kinds. Here's a thought. Maybe horses, zebras, and donkeys are descendents of the same horse-like "kind". Dogs, wolves, and coyotes could be descendents of the same canine "kind". Thus, there wouldn't need to be two of every animal.

  • @homeschoolvet

But there's no physical evidence that the world was ever fully flooded. There is evidence that there was a large flood in the Mesopotamia region, but certainly not the whole world. So while your two of every animal theory is quite logical, it doesn't validate the ark theory.

  • Were they fire breathing dragons?

Where exactly are they mentioned in the bible? I've only read parts of it since I'm not into fiction. I had no choice but to attend catholic school since my parents enrolled me at a tender age.

Who know? I may'be been the next Billy Joel or Elton John (Oh, I forgot you people are dead set against homosexuals) if I had been taught a musical instrument in school instead of having to waste my time studying the bible.

  • JOB 40:15-24 describes a behemoth with a tail like a cedar tree and bones like bars of iron. Interestly, Job lived after the flood.

The world after the flood probably would have been nothing like it was before thus competition ensued between man & animal and animal & animal for food. Perhaps, this caused the migration of man and beast alike for the purposes of foraging. Thus, extinction could have been a ongoing process much as it is today rather than a one time total annihilation.

  • I am not dead set against homesexuals as people but I am against the sexual immorality that is a part of their life much like I oppose the choices of one labeled a thief, murderer, adulter, etc.

  • Shouldn't Kirk Cameron be out somewhere looking stupid as he's getting his ass handed to him by any rational atheist in a debate? What's he doing trying to "act" in a shitty church-sponsored b-movie? This ain't 1947.

  • Millions of people respect him for his faith and his courage. A b movie is one that was never in the theatre and this was in the theatre and made millions. The point is you dont count asshole. We dont want you to believe or be saved. The lack of proof is what makes us Christians. Its called faith and it is what makes us beautiful

  • 8 years of Catholic school. I know enough. And I'll resort to insults. When my taxes are wasted on churches, I'll do whatever I please. Where to you presume to now the order of creation? Oh, I know, you read it somewhere. Stay blind.

  • If god had the foresight in that he knew he'd need to 'create' Eve, why didn't he create her when he created Adam? Are you saying god can't multi-task. Blashemy. Shouldn't you beat yourself with a rod or roll around on broken glass to show you're sorry. Bad christian!

  • You don't know enough about the Biblical message to criticize it! There is an intentional order to creation, Spartacus. I'm sorry you have to resort to insults instead of thoughtfulness... you have to make up a straw-man (of course I didn't say God can't multitask- I simply said He chose not to do so).

  • If Eve was created later as a mate for Adam, did Adam (at first)have sexual organs for reproducing? He wouldn't have needed them at first since Eve came later. If, If, If,...it's all lies. Wake up!

  • Let's think through this for a moment, friend. If God had intentions to create Eve (extremely consistent with the Biblical narrative), why not create Adam with sexual organs? Wouldn't he need them in the immediate future? My God has foresight, Spartacus. If you're going to remain hostile to Christianity (and I hope for your conversion to the Gospel of Grace), you should at least find a meaningful argument.

  • Loophole. You should've been a lawyer. Even though I have more distaste for them than christians. I wouldn't hold my breath on that conversion business. I'll remain hostile as long as people like yourself support ignorance over logic and rationality.

  • 1 Chronicles 17

9 And I will set a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall live in their place and shall be moved no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,

So here is a clue. If you want to find Israel today you should look for them in another land other than Palestine.

  • Wayne is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This movie is so awesome....All Praises to The one an ONLY LIVING GOD... my favorite part was when he recieved salavation... WOW WHAT A POWERFUL SCENE... I recommend everyone to see this movie. No matter who you are, what you have done or where you have been. God will be right there with open arms ready to recieve you. He is no respector of persons. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, and wants all to come to repentence so we can reign with him.

  • I heard Facing the giants was great too.

  • yes and nothing is better to foster our love for the Lord than daily continuing prayer, worship, and regular fellowship with others!

  • I think that talking about the earth's age is pointless. No one knows how old this earth is. For a Christian to state it can ONLY be 6000 years is ridiculous. The possibility that it is older is realistic. The point is that there is a God who loves you. He sent His Son to die for you. Little details and faith grow as you become stronger in your beliefs. I will commit right now to pray for you. Even if you don't believe it, it can't hurt to have extra positive thoughts headed your way. God Bless

  • kristy, u dont know what u are talking about.

6000 years would not be ridiculous if God exists.

  • Kristy, you can't just pick the parts of the bible that fit your life. You can't believe the New Testament without believing the Old. Do you believe that what you believe is really real. Its all real from Genesis to Revelations. And yes the earth could and most probably is 6000 years old, and Darwin was a very misled man. Your Faith cannot grow without reading the word of God, which is the only truth

  • Its sad that even we christians feel they need to argue against each other. This doesnt inspire anyone and is against everything we should stand for.

Kristy has one good point, there are more things to concern ourselves with then how old the earth is. Is that going to win souls to God? Is that going to get us closer to God. Come on guys, get over the petty stuff, which is what I feel Kristy is saying, "talking(argue) about the earths age is pointless"

  • Arguing over the Earth's age is pointless. Just like arguing over how many angels can fit on the head of a pin like you christians used to debate about all the time in the good old days. Win souls for god? Buddhists don't believe in the concept of a soul. I guess you got a lot of converting ahead of you.

  • Every knee shall bow, every toungue confess, that Jesus Christ, is Lord.

Isnt it amazing, that no matter what a persons view is, or how bad they mock God, or try to hide there struggles, in the end, not even they can deny that Jesus, is Lord. If it was so clear cut to you, you wouldnt feel so strongly about posting so many times, with such passion. I pray that you receive peace on this, and that you find that gaining wealth in this world, wont matter at all in the end.

  • Holy shit! You sound like that psycho religious bitch from "The Mist". Do you walk around speaking like this? I'd love to see you ordering a Whopper at Burger King. For the record, I didn't see you logically explain the dinosaurs on the ark scenario, oh holy one. People like you shouldn't be allowed to breed or vote. Seriously.

  • Buddhists also put their faith in a fallible human being who couldn't conquer death. Good thing they are happy people while they are here, huh?

  • If the Earth is only 6000 years old, then why weren't dinosaurs mentioned in the bible?

  • They were. They were referred to as dragons in the Old Testament b/c the word dinosaur wasn't invented 'til the 1800's. Not trying to enter a argument but you seem like the type of person that applies logic to all situations. You might find the scientific series by Dr. Jay Wile called Exploring Creation interesting. There are books on biology, chemistry, anatomy, marine science, etc. and they all take a very logical viewpoint.

  • NovaCove Ski..I thought the world was 6000 years old, because some bishop added all the ages of the people listed in the bible, and dinasaurs and man existed at the same time. What scientists are you talking about anyway??Why don't you just cut the crap, just say god created everything by magic, stop trying to deceive people by trying to sound scientific. That way at least I could have some respect for your view.

  • Hn. Looks good, and not as cheesy as it could have been. =|

I wonder what denomination these people are supposed to belong to?

  • So easy to take Christians' money with piece of crap movies like this. Cameron sure knows that. He sure does.

  • Did you even see the movie? If you had done your homework, you would know that Cameron volunteered for the role. He wasn't paid. Funny too, that with a "piece of crap movie" that was made with a budget of only $500,000, it has so far grossed over $13,000,000. Praise be to God. He loves you, too.

  • actually, now it's even over $20,000,000 that they've made. Praise be to God. This movie is awesome.

  • All the people in this movie were volunteers and it is an amazing movie. Kirk Cameron did not get paid and did his own stunts. Go see the movie and learn about it before you say bad things, because you are wrong.God Bless Kirk Cameron, the makers of this movie and may God Bless you.

  • Ka-ching!

  • ofcourse Christians have high divorce rates. That's why they made this movie. It's for everyone.

As far as everything else you said, man, listen to yourself.

God sent his son Jesus to die for you and yet, even while knowing that, you still deny Him and hate Him.

Well, regardless, I am glad to see Christian movies in the theaters.

NO LONGER will the Atheist movement control our movie system.

    God WILL prevail.

    Bless you brother!

  • iedalgic: The more research that is done, the more scientists prove intelligent design. The Milky Way is dated to be about 13.2 billion years old. Today, scientists admit that there 13.2 billion years enough time for evolution to occur due the the complexity of the cell. They conclude that the cell was brought to earth from an older galaxy outside of ours. Maybe do research before tossing a coin. There is a God.

  • ROCK ON FIRE SERVICE FOR LIFE!!!

  • I saw it last night and absolutely loved it. I wish all christians would see it to show holywood we're here.

  • i saw this move first day it came out with school the time was 9:00

  • This is a great movie!!

  • Just got home from seeing this movie. Great movie! My wife and I greatly enjoyed it.

  • OMG i have to see this movie!!!!

  • Saw opening day release. Absolutely great love story in 2 ways. you'll have to see to find out what I mean. It is GREAT!!!!!

  • Read or re-read 1 Corinthians 13. We've just started our way through "Love Dare." Jesus Christ is the third (or first) leg of a three-legged stool. You can balance for a while on two legs, but it isn't as stable or reliable as one with three legs.

  • Can't wait to see this movie. I'm a volunteer firefighter and I've been married for just over two months. Adjusting to married life is a difficult thing to do and I know I could definitely stand to learn some valuable lessons about how to be a better husband.

  • This movie looks fantastic! Can't wait to see it!

  • This movie will definitely be good.

  • This movie looks awesome! I might go see it this weekend!

  • From the makers of "Facing The Giants," a must-see if you are able, and take a friend--especially if he or she has a struggling marriage. To be honest there are a few awkward "commercials for God" written into the script. But the majority of the movie is gripping and makes it very much worth seeing whatever your religious beliefs. There are edge-of-you-seat scenes between the firefighter and his wife, and also some great, suspense-filled fire and rescue scenes.

  • when does this come out?

  • Friday, September 26th!

  • I have to see this I love kirk camerons movies and the idea of the movie just sounds great can't wait to see it
