  • @skovrananton

Presne tak. Napsals to moc trefne. Sirka, hloubka a melancholie. Nadhera. Jarda

  • Amazing!

  • Wonderful song & the singer

  • I cried...

  • Music transcends all borders. I cannot understand a word, yet I'm so moved.

  • I do not speak Russian but I love Russian songs, especially the russian anthem. Greetings from mexico

  • wow

  • Vilken röst! Wonderful (underbar)

  • Dmitri has done so much to introduce Russian songs to the West and his art has contributed to the cause of world peace and Russian-US friendship.

Bless you Dmitri. Take care of your health please.

  • @Amfortaz and all the charity work hes done, what a wonderful man! all those siberian children, pless you Dmitri.

  • ishcho chut chut

    kak krassivo

    Bravo Dima

  • Absolutely true. Let us all hope that music will help foster understanding, and that someday such things will not happen to anyone. The blessings of this season to all.

  • Ehto ne vopros perevoda, a znacheniya. "A little bit" could be time, or space, or effort--or all three. I called it ironic because, after 4 years, the soldier has heard it all before--"Just a little more, tomorrow's the last, etc. itd." The unfathomable weariness and invincible tenacity of the soldier is conveyed by poet, composer, and singer. Look at the faces, especially between 1:00 and 1:10. They understand, regardless of age. So do we in America. The power of art!

  • I want music for this song!!!! I've searched high and low and cant find it. If anyone has any suggestions where to look lemme know, please!!

  • I don't understand the lyrics, but I am very moved too. Here, in Brazil, I am praying for your grandpa.

  • awe thank you so very much...means a lot <3

  • wsio dobro dla was ! z bogiem .

  • what happened to real music like this? i miss it

  • Does anyone can help me find its lyrics in russian please?

  • Where we can find a translation please?

Even without understanding the lyrics, touched me, and I imagine a soldier who reminds his affections, to death shortly before the war ended...

  • Lyrics are quite hard to translate. But here is my try:

We haven't had a rest for such a long time.

We just didn't have an opportunity to rest.

We have crossed a half of Europe on our stomachs

And tomorrow it's the last battle finally

    Refrain:

One more effort just one more

The last battle is the hardest

And I want to go home in Russia

I have not seen my mom for such a long time

  • It's 4 years we can't live in peace because of those Nazis

It's 4 years salty sweat and river of blood

And I just want to fall in love with a good girl

And I just want to touch my homeland with my hand

    Refrain

Tomorrow is the last time we will have hand to hand combat

It's the last time we will have an opportunity to serve Russia

It's not scary to die for Russia

    But everyone hopes to survive!

    Refrain

  • You are very kind to translate the song. It is remarkable that Dmitri have achieved that we understand its meaning without understanding the language.

    Thanks!

  • can someone give me the words to this in russian words with english letters pleas?

  • My tak davno,my tak davno ne otdyhali. Nam bylo prosto ne do otdyha s toboj. My pol-Evropy po-plastunski propahali, I zavtra, zavtra, nakonec poslednij boj. Pripev: Ewe nemnogo, ewe chut'-chut', Poslednij boj,on trudnyj samyj, A ja v Rossiju, domoj hochu, Ja tak davno ne videl mamu! A ja v Rossiju, domoj hochu, Ja tak davno ne videl mamu!
  • Thanks to all who made the words of this powerful song more intelligible. One clarification, though. The first line of the Pripev (Chorus) is transliterated Eshcho nemnogo, eshcho chut'-chut', and the first (and third) word is actually pronounced yeshcho. Nemnogo, by the way, is literally "not much", while chut'-chut' is "a teensy bit"--ironic here. The ' at the end of chut' is a soft sign, meaning the t is said with the tongue against the back of the teeth.

  • You are wrong, it's ok (btw, you don't know russian enough). This expresses how they wanted to achieve their purpose (goal, objective, etc, I'm not fluent in english too :D).

  • Chetvertyj god nam net zhit'ja ot jetih fricev,

Chetvertyj god solenyj pot i krov' rekoj,

    A mne b v devchonochku horoshuju vljubit'sja,

    A mne b do Rodiny dotronut'sja rukoj.

    Pripev.

Poslednij raz sojdemsja zavtra v rukopashnoj,

    Poslednij raz Rossii smozhem posluzhit',

    Hot' kazhdyj vse-taki nadeetsja dozhit'!

  • good boy.!!!.. wanna see mamma...What

a dream for a soldier!! good interpretation.

  • beautiful...powerful

  • That's what you call a powerful performance...

  • wspaniałe, wzruszające i najlepsze

  • for you:

    Title:

  • Love, love, love him. Although now I am fond of a certain Aussie musical-singer, Dima has still his place in my heart.

*dreams about mixing her obsessions by letting Dima sing a certain police inspector*

    *imagines Dima singing Stars*

    OMFG, I'm melting.

  • Que cancion tan absolutamente conmovedora!

  • These are the words of this song :
  • Could someone PLEASE translate that in english???? This would be very kind! Thank you!!

  • We have not had rest for a long time,

We just had no time for it,

We crossed half of Europe ploughing the soil with our bodies,

And tomorrow, tomorrow at last the final battle.

A bit more, just a little bit...

The final battle is the hardest,

And I want to go back home, to Russia,

I have not seen mom in a long time (I know the translation sucks, but at least it gives you the gist)

  • So beautiful...

He should sing this on a snow-covered battlefield. Standing in the snowfall, mourning his fellow soldiers...

    I love him.

  • god...he is not a singer...he is music itself!!

  • Salute to Dmitri Hvorotovskii with upmost respect.

  • Ahh Dmitri....did you know? My mother is in love with you!

  • .......

  • why do you have to say this?

  • I'll tell you some of the lines of the song:

"It's been so long, it's been so long since we have had rest. We've walked across half of Europe fighting. But tomorrow, finally, is the last battle. Just a little bit more, just a little longer. The last battle is the most difficult. I want to go back home to Russia. It's been so long since I've seen Mama." That is the first set of verses. The jist of the song is a soldier that misses home and especially mom :)

  • Thanks for posting the english version of this beautiful song.

  • What's the lyric in English? Too bad I only understand a few words Russian...

My God, how can be a man SO hot AND have a voice like this? I think he is an angel sent from Heaven. He doesn't sounds like a mortal!

  • Dmitri H. is a Russian baritone, one of the greatest of our times - check out his other videos on YouTube, especially Mozart's La Ci Darem la Mano. Great voice, very expressive and such a handsome man!
