  • Rock on guards. To Great Britain from Canada. Proud to be part of the commonwealth.

  • They should play some zelda songs!

  • During the changing of the Guard, they play formal music but they also play stuff like this because... well why not?

Turn up another day you'll hear "The British Grenadiers" which should satisfy the stuffy British stereotype.

  • *SCOTTISH*

  • The best was when they received the king of saudi arabia and played the evil empire music from star wars.

  • do they just do this randomly or do they schedule it??...idk im from America...but its cool as hell!

  • Oh my God...this just made my life...

  • @jake27990 actually this song is sung by Frankie Valli

  • who said the bee gees muppet!!!!

  • @CRUISEOBRIEN1 It is the Bee Gees. They sing this song. You're the muppet

  • @jake27990 i stand corrected lol

  • I went to Buckingham Palace with a mate to see changing of the guard, I had no idea they played these songs - it was awesome, the crowd loved it and made me proud to be British!

  • Love Buckingham palace. Just hate all the cheap Eurotrash tourists stood outside disrespecting our heritage and culture.

  • @Italblessings go fuck yourself!

  • @Italblessings go ffff yourself!

  • The guy in the video says BeeGee's... but doesn't Frankie Valley sing this song?

  • @BoilerByBlood nope mr barry gibb

  • or HRMMP3 or RMP3 or MMP3

  • Oh my gosh this is epic.

  • This is a new Regiment known as "Her Majesties Own MP3 players"

  • who needs a cd player ?

  • wow... that play and movie was awesome. But I wish Americans would play in it not just fake britts

  • They aren't really playing 'grease'. Why would they do that?? It just doesn't make sense.

  • @ohairy111 They always play something different and interesting. I mean C'mon! If you have to look serious all the fricken time you have fun any way you can.

  • @ohairy111 Jut look over YouTube at all the different things they play. Her Majesty frequently makes requests and the band play them.

  • @ohairy111 its for the tourists mate us brits like to have a laugh bud

  • being brittish does have a sort of magic feeling to it, being an brittish gaurd is pretty amazing. being an ex brittish guard and looking in from the crowed is magical ;) long live the queen!

  • That is beyond awesome!!

  • i'm so happy to llive here :P

  • I love England. So glad I live here!!

  • which song was this from?

  • The first song is "Grease".

    Second song is "Summer Nights"

  • this is intense

  • oh man i love England.........note to self: First foreign nation i visit.

  • LOL I LOVE MY COUNTRY

    !!!!

  • So do I, mate. GOD BLESS THE UNITED KINGDOM.

  • this is "This is The Time" by the Bee Gee's

  • The essence of a army!

  • England Prevails .. !!

  • @badt4life that's from V for Vendetta =D my favourite movie +.+

  • up the red coats

  • It's a musical.

  • LMFAO.

    "Why don't they dance?"

  • They don't dance because they're a high class Millitary band... British marching bands don't dance as they prefer to focus on what they're doing not being complete prats like the American school bands

  • I was quoting someone else.

  • oh my bad lol

  • xD Lol, no worries.

  • umm.. watch an american school band before you steriotype us. i've seen a lot of school bands and 0 have danced.

  • haha. Oshea95. funny comment. its almost like your serious or something.

  • @Oshea95 i have never seen a US military band dance, and if you are talking about high school bands, they dance b/c there are playing for entertainment only

  • @Oshea95 have to admit, school bands overdo it sometimes, but you cant say you wouldnt smile if one of these guys started to breakdance (well you could, but its not likely :))

  • @DriftRoach

Lol I'd love to see someone try and break dance wearing a bearskin hat. lol

  • @Oshea95 i dare you to call the famu marching 100 band a bunch of prats. in 1989 they were the ONLY foreign band invited to the french bicentennial.

  • @tranurse the famu marching 100 band are a bunch of prats.

    boom.

now I dare you to streak a football game.

  • @Fizzypidgen it's too cold.

  • @Oshea95

    We Americans love our silliness.

What ever happened to the Monty Python, Faulty Towers, Laurie & Fry, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Simon Pegg & Nick Frost, Rowan Atkinson, outlandish rock 'n' roll, Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, and Rickey Ricky Gervais loving English?

I miss them. Tell me when they come back.

  • @Hatscatsandwaffles Unfortunately they got replaced with jersey shore and two and a half men :(

  • @TheRhinehart86 Hate the former, don't give a crap about the latter, though the whole Charlie Sheen thing was funny. I empathize with your unfortunate situation :(

  • @Hatscatsandwaffles The choice of songs never left, just don't expect soldiers to act silly..unless their pissed and on leave.

  • @EbsNhexz

    *Writing* Note…to…self:…Piss…off…Pal…ace…Guards……to…make…them…dance.

I would love to see six silly soldiers being batty at Buckingham Palace.

  • @Hatscatsandwaffles (by pissed I meant drunk incidentally) My point is that they are soldiers on active duty, when they aren't guarding the Queen they are fighting in Afghanistan and the likes. The choice of songs show they have a sense of humour but if they mess around in uniform they will have there arses kicked. But when they aren't on duty things change. It is similar to me going to the guards at Arlington Memorial and shouting `dance ya boring bastards!!`

  • @Hatscatsandwaffles ps. you are not the thane of Cawdor...and stop planning regicide because it will send your wife mental.

  • @EbsNhexz Oh, she won't shut up about that damn spot!

  • @Oshea95 so having a little fun and enjoying ourselves because were teenagers makes us prats? ignorant snob. we have full respect for British tradition, as we have our own high class traditions, but dont insult school marching bands. theyre just teenagers having fun. asshole.

  • @Oshea95 so what ur saying is the british are boring? Thats actually pretty true. Good point man

  • @MagnumPI4 We're not boring. We're fucking hilarious.

  • @somethingmemorable1 The inselaffe are just boring and kinda dreary. Im gettin sad just thinkin about it

  • @MagnumPI4 aww diddums. You probably just don't have or understand the dry, sarcastic sense of humour. You also lack banter. Work on these, and you will find that we are indeed fucking hilarious.

  • @somethingmemorable1 thats the problem with the british they think they are awesome at everything. But they really just suck, especially at preventing 2000 year old teeth problems such as gingivitis

  • @MagnumPI4 at the end of the day you're an american. A nationality worth less than a white dog shit on a hot day.

  • @Joshuadrooney i value your point of view. It very interesting i didnt think island monkeys could type. You are good proof of what decades of inbreeding can do to a population.

  • @MagnumPI4 You're probably not even a real American, you're most likely just a half caste little beaner who's parents jumped the border. No real american would say such stupid comments.

  • @Joshuadrooney ha my family has been in America for about 6 generations and im just about full blooded German with some indian in my blood. My comments were pretty awesome by the way, yours were just shitty insults ive heard about a million times.

  • @MagnumPI4 That explains why you are such an acrid little cretin. No doubt your family ran there like the little nazi rats they were.

  • @MagnumPI4 Just for the record, I'm not British :)

  • @Joshuadrooney i figured u weren't. You didn't say mate, bloody, arsehole, chav, or divvy enough. I just enhoy insulting the british. But why did you keep refering to yourself as "we" and "us" if your not british. Are you a crown humping wanna be.

  • @MagnumPI4 I know many British who just "enhoy" as you put it, watching 9/11 videos and hearing the cries. I can understand why they find it so fucking funny, your nation deserves nothing less. Shame it didn't happen again.

  • @MagnumPI4 If your not so fondof the britsh why watch a fucking british video fucking clever dick !

  • @mcwhizzkid123 i said somethin about the changing of the guard in america for the unknown soldiers tomb and some fucktard had to go off on me. cause lets face it if ur not british and white u arent shit. So i just had a little fun with him. I was just tryin to enjoy the video but lets face it theres people like that in every country.

  • @MagnumPI4 True and im british and white and proud to be , but like i said if people dont like us then why do they watch british videos and there is no need to say we suck even if you were just having some fun ! some of us get offened by that , just bare that in mind !

  • @Oshea95 oooooo harsh.

  • Funky

  • in real terms f all mate theyre paid to be soldiers 24/7 and thats what theyre doin

  • its better than spending all our money on bumming a flag

  • Comment removed

  • but i am sorry for the words i used were the wrong ones. just because PR is tiny doesnt mean that we dont have women and men serving in the military. my grand father faught in WW2,my great uncle died in WW2 and was honored the PURPLE HEART, my father in Grenada and my best friend is now in iraq, with many other Puerto Ricans friends of mine, and some that have died. I respect all soldiers and im also very proud to be a Puerto Rican with a family that has served.

  • lol thats cool

  • they have nothing else to do, so they turn their ordinary little routine to something a bit more fun. :)

  • How sad you think that. They are serving soldiers who try to defend freedom in this world. Has P. R. any to match that?

  • Why they do nt dance?

  • hahahahaaaaa so cool!

  • damn those brits are awesome!!

  • That's pretty awesome they would play that! You definetly wouldn't expect it!

  • as long as everyone remembers that apart from their ceremonial duties, the household guard divisions are also servivng soldiers on the front line in afghanistan and iraq risking their lives

  • For people who are recording this complaining about the selection of music, you sure enjoy singing along...:) There is nothing wrong with Military bands playing this type of music, like any musical group you need to be diverse. The Guards Bands are always tops.

  • Not as tops as the Band Of The Royal Marines. The best. End of. :)

  • Why you just don`t SHUT UP!!!???

  • Why don't you learn how to speak and formulate sentences properly?

  • Hear that guy saying "Bee Gees"? Frankie Valli sang the title music to Grease, not the Bee Gees. Get your movies straight man!

  • Half right. Barry and the bros wrote the song and Valli did agree to sing it but if they back him up. Its all on the liner notes of the album (not CD).

  • I know the Bee Gees wrote it. I read it on Wiki. ;D But I didn't know they played backing though. Hmm, interesting. However, on the titles it does simply say the the song was performed by "Frankie Valli", rather than "Frankie Valli and the Bee Gees".

  • Its the Bee Gees doing all of the higher singing in the background. Who else can do a damn good falsetto besides Frankie Valli than Barry Gibb? Get a copy and take a listen.

  • Grease is the word!

  • lmao can anybody else imagine the queen dancing about the state rooms with the curtains shut

  • Go figure, maybe she likes this sort of music :)

  • What crawled up your butt and died? I know you were joking, I'm jsut saying that maybe she actually LIKES this kind of music, jeez

  • They could almost certainly be Irish guards as they are one of 5 foot guard regiments that guard Her Majesty the Queen. Do your research first mate.

  • Awesome guys!

You woud expect nothing less from The Irish Guards!!!!

    You do us proud everytime!

  • they're british guards, if u look at the bottom right u might see where it buckingham, whis it the name of the palace in london

  • The Foot Guards are made up of 5 regiments: the Grenadier Guards, the Coldstream Guards, the Scots Guards, the Irish Guards and the Welsh Guards.

Its difficult to make out because of the quality, but the Irish Guards are identified by a blue plume on the right hand side of their bearskins and the buttons of their tunics are in groups of four, since they are the fourth most senior Guard regiment.

I might be wrong, I have been in the past, but is the conductor a Coldstreamer?

  • looks like it, can't really tell from this though.

  • Different regiments do rotations

  • Awesome man! They're cool!Wonder if they train this in the military

  • nice
