@Snowyluc Well, he HAD a kind of disease. I personally wouldn't call it a disease as it was a curse that would kill him sooner or later. Snape gave Dumbledore only one more year or so to live, and I believe that this was the moment Dumbledore's plan took shape. And he didn't exactly pretend to plead, he did plead, although not for Snape to let him live, but for Snape to stay true to his promise and kill him so Draco may be saved and all doubts about Snape not being loyal destroyed.
