Sure, it may sound like Joey is a better brummer then Lars, but you can't tell just by listening to their songs. They have two different styles for their. Just cause Lars' style is easier doesn't mean he isn't capable of doing harder stuff. Sure, MAYBE Joey is a better drummer, but until both of them have a drum battle to show of their skills (which would be kick ass) then we can't know for sure who is better.
