Nice, I love using DJay. You can get away with a lot without even having the controller. The one thing I have trouble with is when I have a cue point, and I want to scratch in between.. (Like scratch, cue, scratch, cue) The cue usually comes in late after I press it, because the turntable is still backspinning for a second i guess.. Any tips on how to do this better? I would really appreciate it
By the way, you can do all of this also using djay’s keyboard shortcuts without any additional MIDI controller: The three slots of the sampler can be controlled using the B/N/M shortcuts, and the cue points using the W/E/R (table 1) and U/I/O (table 2) shortcuts. Hold the Alt-key when using these shortcuts to record samples or set cue points. The djay keyboard overlay helps too.
Masta Hanksta can you use a usb keyboard M-audio Oxygen V2 for the sample section?? Do you have to map the samples or do they work automatically??

dope man thanks ive been using nothing but traktor but now that i got a mac ive been looking into djay.... lemme know what u think is better

@vandalspek Trktor is better for scratching if your using control vinyl because Djay doesn't support control vinyl.
But if your looking for stand alon no hardware software djay is good for mixing at small gigs or just relaxing at home.
If you do get a hardware midi controller then the Vestax Spin is the best.
