First Bud Bowl was in 89. It was after the 88 NFL season which is why you might be thinking that. Jan. 1989 Super Bowl XXIII between Cincy and San Fran.

By the way, Bud Bowl I was in 1989. This is Bud Bowl II which was in 1990. Bud Bowl II (1990) - Budweiser 36, Bud Light 34.
