A refusal to submit to the FST can also result in an officer, depending on how much of a jerk he/she is choosing to be can charge you with resisting arrest which will only make your situation worse in the end. in the State of California, if you refuse to submit to the FST then you automatically have your license suspended for ONE year versus SIX months if you do submit to the tests.And that submitting to a test creates self incriminating evidence that will later be used to convict you

Come on now. Is this really a legal tip. Mr. Ballentine, you can do better than this. Telling folk how to avoid being caught driving while intoxicated? They need to be caught. Consider the implications of this 'tip'. Very disappointed.

The radio station had be changed this month from "NEWS TALK 1200 WCHB" From "THE NEW A.M. 1200 WCHB" which has Mildred Gaddis from 6-10 a.m. and plays non-stop gospel music after that. Unless you have XM 169 THE POWER, you would have to listen to the on his website.I HATE THEY CHANGED IT =(

Listening to Warren and his callers in Boston the other day it sounded like warren was trying to incite riots. He borders a terrorist but he is smart enough to keep from getting arrested.A good Lawyer indeed.

I'm definitely not an O'Reilly fan but he was defending his words because of people like Mr. Ballentine and those who are calling his comments racist. They're not and he was letting others know that there is nothing to fear when going to that restaurant and to Harlem. It was his personal experience and he wanted to calm the fears of others. Isn't that one of the goals to stopping racism and stereotypes?

We can only hope that when they do refuse, they lose their license for the full year. Why do the ABC stores and other distributors allow a convicted DUI offender to purchase alcohol? They shouldn't, neither should the ones who plea to a lesser offense. We should be protected!

MDdred...I'm sure Mr. Ballentine could care less, as I have clear memories of his pre-lawyer days when he would get publically intoxicated and cavort with drunk drivers. Glad I no longer live in Chicago. Mr. Ballentine's relentless defense of DUI offenders would have me the victim of vehicular homicide in no time!
