  • I love this song. By coincidence my music teacher played the 0:40-1.00 solo on his fiddle. He said it was related to Hungarian folk music. He played it half a note higher, though.

Any of you got any ideas as to what my teacher was playing. He didn't know the name of the song himself.

  • 00:40-01:00 i'm crying ;)

  • Goodbye /b/.

  • i personally cant believe that he i able to create such great music with just a bridge pick up its really amazingi prefer neck and bridge when i play

  • @heavymedlarruti666 On this album he actually used his 2 pick up Carvin, so he might have used his neck pup here :)

  • with that Jackson kelly Marty record all guitar solos on RIP album.

  • Best duo marty and jason then comes paul gilbert and bruce bouillet or james hetfield and kirk hammet

  • Broderick and Loomis should form cacophony #2!

  • This melody is so full of emotion ... what a genius! Unfortunately, i think Marty will only get the apreciation he deserves after he's long gone... And as for Jason Becker... I think the time he and Marty spent playing together pushed both of them to become better musicians and fulfill their potentials...since they are both so great! If you listen to both of their solo albums after Cacophony ended..you can tell that they pushed each other to even further heights of virtuosity.

  • this is like river of longing by jason becker.

  • He's looks alot like Kenny G and they both are professional musicians what a surprise xD

  • Got the CD from America some days ago! I just love play, com :)

  • Shredding doing arpeggios without distortion in 3rd minor harmony...this guy is FUCKING AMAZING.

  • So getting this CD...

    Fuck the present mainstream

  • @BrUSomania thats what marty is doing right now

  • 6666 views lol Marty Friedman Rocks everyone's miserable world.

  • namida, tears and the anger, then acceptance

  • i want tha Jackson Kelly that Marty got's in this pic.

  • @jfkdjfd I don't o_O I appreciate marty's a soloist but I just can't handle guitars with just one pickup, like les paul jrs or the kelly in that pic. I don't want to get variety from tons of effects pedals >_>

  • the one person who dislikes this must be found and sacrificed to the almighty god METAL!

  • @Ghaeis666 +1

  • from the 0:20 to the 0:40, that sound if from EVENTIDE CRYSTAL.

  • Marty looks so good with the Jackson Kelly KE1. God damn it, it makes me want a KE1 now.

  • man this is pure cool man.... soloing over arpeggio... u dont hear that alot....

  • Friedman and Becker are the best in the world (from my point of view). Huge fan of both.

  • @prflx yh i really like those two to

but dont forget john petrucci and steve vai ;)

  • @prflx Truuuuue that man

  • @prflx dont you mean your PERSPECTIVE :D

  • @prflx I'm agree

  • I'm crying

    marty're a total genius

  • This song is just amazing, wonderful, so full of emotion. I wish Jason Becker had never caught that terrible disease ... And that they had never split-up. I just wish :(

  • @MiZaNtHr0pE

it was way too good to be from this world...

  • @ironbrea And Also, It was way ahead their time ...

  • @MiZaNtHr0pE I wish Jason Becker never got ALS either but Marty Friedman was amazing in Megadeth and cacaphony's singer was absolutely horrible

  • Great song!!!! I love your hair, Martyyyyy!!!! :)

  • I wish they all would turn back to their old neoclassic day. Friedman and Gilbert, and of course Becker.

he cant play, and he´s writing wonderfull stuff.

river of longing is one of the most beautifull melodies I ever listened to, but just imagine a second Altitudes.

    I mean, JUST IMAGINE :)

  • I know dude. I wish that all the time too

  • dragon's kiss fucking rocks!!

  • u rock

  • He used to play this song with Jason in the old days...

  • how do you know?

    btw: this is sooooooooooooooooo genius

    it´s to awesome

  • I´m listening to cacophony for 2 years know :)

but I never heard of them both playing this song

  • Oh not this song lol.Just literary meant the good old days with Becker and Friedman playing exotic sad solos together.

  • This song puts me in a good mood, rock on Marty!
