i thought the vocal is very good, and different enough from the original. but i'm afraid I can't say the same about the guitar work. to me it's pretty much just the original played with different sounding effects. I'm talking about the guitar solos and fill-ins, which i think are the parts that should be made different and fresh enough compared to the original. in that department, to me it's a missed opportunity, because this is a good remake, that could have been great.
