maybe stupid question, but I'm left-handed (and learned to drum left-handed), but at thomann is see they have pedals for lefties and righties, can't u just unscrew the pedal and replace it so it becomes a leftie? anyone has experience with this? thanx ^^
Hi, I've checked the pedal, and it's not possible to convert it to a leftie. It's due to there's only "connectors" for the arm going between them on one side, the left one has it on the right side, and the right pedal have it on the left side. And the right is built to have to pedals, the left is not. Unless you have two bassdrums this pedals won't work well with a leftie :S
Seit gestern hab ich auch das PD-222. Macht nen sehr soliden Eindruck, und der Preis ist unschlagbar! Ich behaupte diese Maschine kann mit einer doppelt so teuren gut mithalten.
To be honest, I don't think they even show signs of usage, even thought all endless time I've spent mercilessly playing cannibal corpse stuff,, among other things. I'm truly satisfied with them :D
Hi, I'm also a guitarist, I've done the same as you probably are going to do, I bought a cheap drumset and started playing some, loved it, continued with it :D
The pedals I got, it's the more expensive version of MILLENIUM double bass pedals. As I've posted in other comments on this video I got the cheap one first, bad choice.
They broke in around five days. I mailed Thomann with a photo of the broken piece, (it was the metal bar from the left pedal) and they gave me two offers, either get the money back or add around 40Euro and get the more expensive version, the MILLENIUM PD-222 PRO. I've had them now since September, I play stuff from Cannibal Corpse and such, in my opinion, they can't be more solid. No side motion whatsoever, they are very customizable, and affordable.
I they broke, (which would be the cause of a terrorist action) I'd get a new pair of these pedals :) I'm sure. This might sound like I'm hired by MILLENIUM or Thomann, but I find their gear/service excellent and this is not the first, or last time I've been buying stuff from them. Therefore I recommend those pedals. I think it's definitely worth it :D cheers, by the way, nice vids.
Look at the other comment and you'll get the idea. I'll add some more in this post because I have had them a much longer time now.
They look, feel and sound as when they came a month ago. I'm sure they'll never break. If they would I'd get a new for sure :)
You can play very fast but also anything else, not everything because they are NOT longboards... But I don't want that, these is perfect for me. I play mostly metal and rock music.
I think they are fantastic :) really robust, no sidemotion, and very, very configurable. And yet at a reasonable price. I really like them :)
In comparison I have played the MILLENIUM PD-669 STAGE which is like 40 euro cheaper, that one broke after like 5 day :o Thomann offered me to pay that 40 euros and they should send the PRO (those in the video) and they have served me well the last weeks :) I don't think they ever will break :)
I would like to know if that milleniun pd222 pro are working well, coz im thinking about buying one and im not sure

@JaviGigMaker They're still great. Take them to band practice about twice a week and they never fail to deliver.
My band mates mentioned that they had never played with such a good bass drum pedal.

@AfoHT Cool! Thanks for the info friend!

And what do you think? :)

Hey man, nice kit.
I was just browsing the double bass drum pedal category @ Thomann, and I had to youtube it.
I'm not a drummer, i'm a guitarist, but I have a drumset in the basement, and it would be awesome to play fast double bass beats!
So they are robust? Do you think they will break after like a couple of months?
:D
