one day i dit wanted to record some stuff on it but whatever i dit tryed pal or ntsc with a empty usb stick on top,it sudenly just refused to record,so i tout it was broken.
but then i checked the manual,it say''s by mailfunktioning of the system you got to reset the system,by removing the usb stick, now turn on the system remove the power suply plug and then put it back.the blue licht flickered 2 times and get off.
amezingly enough it works, now i can record again hey hey!!
@mrgodzilla99 i honestly suggest upgrading to an HD recorder. i don't have a job to buy one, but i plan on it in the future, my pinnace still works fine, its just HD is better.
yeah the quality sucks.. so what man.. this stuff is the easiest to use yet.. and yeah cause you only need this and a storage device.. like flash drives or hd drives. which also means this won't lag if you have a sucky comp lol
Well it depends on what your looking for exactly and if you have a computer/laptop on hand when your recording. Because for the Dazzle you need that computer by your side so you can start and stop recording but the with the video transfer you can plug a flash stick into it and just transfer that to your computer to edit and upload. But if you do have a computer you should jsut keep looking up qality tests and reviews of both products, at least that's what I'd suggest.
The down side of this product is you can not record in red green blue Wich is better quality picture if any one had figured out how to record in red green blue please let me know
hey i have a question i have the PVT and it works great but i was wondering how can i get audio from other people talking like when im in a game or in a lobby whenever i put it on my computer or ipod i cant hear my voice or anybody elses and what do you prefer for editing?
Hey Honcho! I'm getting loadsa lines on all my game recordings. It aint the pvt, cuz I had a new replacement, and it aint my flash drive or external HD. Think it could be the RCA splitters? Have you had any trouble?
The only thing i can guess is the file type Im using. The "VLC Media Player". Its a free download. Set that player as your primary media player. All videos will show up as a VLC media file. Pinnacle "says" it "Deinterlaces video"
I suggest trying that, if not lower the quality.
I can't offer anything more than that cause I promise you I don't do anything else to record and display videos
Ah ok, thanks for the tip. I know it's something to do with recording from my consoles, as I recorded a whole dvd (using a dvd player not a games console) and transfered it to an ipod with no trouble or lines.
If you have a turtle beach and a hd tv you dont need any splitters :) Coz the turtle beach splits sound any way so you hear and it saves on PVT and you dont need the yellow cable in tv. Hop this helps (might be a bit confusing.)
Have I've just watched your other video on the PVT and was wondering how you get the sound? I use the same method as you, and get the sound in my recordings but while I play the games, obviously there's no sound. How would I do this?
xbox sound cords plug into TV. my tv has sound output jacks that irun into the PVT instead of into a stereo or extra speakers. most new tvs even some old decent TVS have this built in. if you have a home stereo hooked into TV the main reciever should have an extra set. if not you need splitters
at the dash board menu. My tv is widscreen. If you play on a standard Tv i still suggest changing your screen ratio to "16:3" in stead of "4:3", you see more of the FOV. And your recordings will also be "16:3" or, A.K.A. "Widescreen"
where can you get component wires for the pinnacle video transfer because im using composite cables on my standard tv and when i record on best and put the vid on youtube i can't get it to say "watch in high quality" and im using the sandisk cruzer which is the same as my other friend but he is getting it to say "watch in high quality" please help
i know what you mean man, the pictures are all cut off or just plain bad. that is how my first few videos are..bad! Hopefully now that i have this I can make some good ones.
Get a platinum they rock! And they are good quality!

well the thing is you don't record to a PC.
you record to a flash stick and then transfer to PC.
That way your not FORCED to play game next to a computer.

in your description you stated interlacing doesnt matter on youtube.
i uploaded my video and it looks the same as it does when i first recorded it, with those stupid lines

Yeah, i have lines too, how do i fix it?

I don't know, they just go away at least for me on You tube.
Try downloading the "VLC media player", its free.
It might have something to do with it, i just honestly didn't think so.

please help, im trying to hook up my xbox to the pinnacle.
but i don't understand how to do dat, & is the video as crappy as it sounds?
pookiethegamer 3 years ago
I didn't understand why you need to use 3 sets of 2-female-to-1-male RCA plugs. Can you please explain ? Thank you very much :)
oooFethennour 3 years ago
This is so you can record & play at the same time. You have to send a signal to your Capture Device, and to your TV at the same time.
Those plugs are for that purpose.
You don't need the plugs though if you have Componet wires (Red, Blue Green)
Simply plug up the XBOX as normal in to TV using Red, Blue, Green plugs. Plug the Yellow into capture.
Now if you don't have another set of wires to run your sound from stereo source, you will need 2 sets of plugs.

Thank you very much.

senorbarrigas 3 years ago
yeah i have a photographic memory.
Yes thats what i mean high = Best = 3 LED lights
Good capture I'm glad i bought, too many crappy videos out there. Cameras filming crappy TVs, Crappier captures that have poor quality.
