  • @Kaphotics

Interesting, I assume this is the reason why we haven't been got a hold to control the RNG in GCN games? Assuming both both Col and XD uses the same RNG.

I also assume this also means it is quite difficult to weed out all the bad XD hacks out there?

  • @Clear1 heh, we can RNG on XD/Colo now, I've done a few CP's! I think I was mistaken

on what I said, now that I think about it.

  • @Kaphotics

It's not public knowledge, I would assume? I haven't been hanging around too much this year to know.

Last I heard from someone, it is emulator only.

  • @Clear1 All the information is on Smogon, but I was the one to research it and do the first abuses with target seeds I calculated. We're now able to check legality of PID/IVs for these guys as well.

Hopefully I'll be able to describe this glitch in more detail, since I was too distracted explaining the Colo/XD shiny glitches. :))))

  • @Kaphotics

So wait a tick, does this mean that since the PID is not attached, it is possible to fix the IVs in place using this, AND abuse for a Shiny?

  • @Clear1 Can't abuse for shinies.

We're able to abuse for IVs, nature, and abilities on GC games now. Consider the game fully cracked! The Ability comes from the second call to IVs.

  • You Can Change Nature, Ability, Gender Just By Reseting The Game Until It Meets Ur Needs.

  • Is it possible to change the Nature of a Pokemon in this game?

  • The problem is the PID doesn't stay, so the RNG can do anything.

  • Cool story, bro!

  • the same thing could happen with ur manectric, as it too has two abilities: static and lightningrod. when i failed to snag it some time ago, i saw it again a little bit later with miror b. when i tried to use a electric attack, it's lightningrod took the attack away form his ludicolo. the first time i saw it, i had hit it physically and got paralyzed by it's static. weird,eh?

  • @abomasnow4 those similar things have happened to me all the time. so it is not really no coincidence to be truthfully honest.

  • Haha guess who? =p

I never thought my simple Rapidash experiment could lead to this...
