Going back down weights after he got slapped by Mayweather and almost KO'd in his next fight took its toll on him. You can't skip up back and forth like that. Morales was drained to 130lbs, after moving up to 135 to fight Zaheer Rahim who roach refused to let Pacquiao fight cause he knew Rahim would've won. @pacskin Well the proof is in the pudding. Look at Hatton after Lazcanso he was bruised up, after Mayweather fight he started slacking off in training, drinking etc on the side. He had to replace sparring partners cause he was injured by one of them before the Pac fight. He had low fuel in the tank. It was the mental effect on Hatton, look at some of the interviews and stuff after. This translates into his downfall- bad training, stress-->getting beat in sparring--->ko by pacquiao.

If they fought again, without the Floyd KO, I'd say Pacquiao knocks him out, just not so bad as to do it in 6minutes. Also Mayweather Sr was a bad mistake for Hatton as a hired trainer, the guy trains Mayweather Jr, BJ Penn, even young Filos believe it or not and he just didn't put much effort in for Hatton unfortunately.

Morales went back down to 130lbs from 134lbs but the point was if you look at Morales training video etc., he struggled to make 134lbs from Raheem after he gained weight after the Pac fight 1. Then he had to make 130lbs. Bert Sugar commented on the 2nd Morales-Pac weigh in and said Morales looked like he was going to faint afterwards. He was a twig. After Zahir beat Morales, he was a legit contender for Pac statistically.

@pacskin Well Baldomir despite his loss to Judah, was a welterweight and Floyd was moving weights and at 147lb fought Baldomir at 160lbs, and still beat him. As for Hatton and Mayweather, I can't deny that Hatton had trained at light-welter before, so i give you that one aswell- he did move up and paid a heavy price for it even though he got paid alot of cash. As for Marquez, the fight was rescheduled at a max of 144, Marquez made it to 144lbs but Floyd came in at 146 and hence paid Juan 40k.

With regards to Marquez, the 2lbs extra did have an impact on the fight but the main factor was the stylistic mismatch. Merchant claimed if Floyd came in at 140lbs the same thing would be happening. Marquez landed like 20% vs 50%+ of Floyds punches reaffirming Floyd's position as the most accurate. Cotto held a paper belt at welter, Shane Ko'd Margarito, Mayweather was moving up when Forrest(RIP) was active.
