It is sad that my country also has death penalty. You can actually add this to your points. In the Bible's Ten Commandments it was mentioned in the 6th that "Thou Shall Not Kill". That apllies to all religions although they have written it in their own way.

I don't support the death penalty, but the bible actually literally translates to "Thou shall not commit murder."
