  • Today, I was swimming in the rhine there with 400 people.

From Linz over Remagen to Bad Honnef.

  • No, they have not put a restaurant there..yet.

  • Did they ever get around to building the restaurant by the bridgehead that they were talking about during the summer of 1989?

  • PS. The name of the movie: Bridge at Remagen

with George Segal and RObert Vaughn

  • Renee,

What brought me back again was that I was attending Frankfurt American High School 1968through 1970 and had the fortune of watching the movie set which was used for all the on-site location shoots for the David Wolper Film. Several of us had skipped school and gone on a Rhine River Cruise in 1968 and stopped to observe the film shooting that took place. The movie was released a year later and became a huge box office hit in 1969.

  • This just means the world to me that you've taken the time to post this. I visited there years ago but was really too young and overwhelmed to truly understand the importance of the Peace Museum. Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to see this very, very special place again.
