He is such a beauty, I just got a female unknown locale, color line Leachie a little over a month ago. For those wondering the cost of these animals, they are expensive, I payed $650 for mine, and the cheapest you will find babies is around $350, and the pure locale animals can be over $1000. Mine at least is very sweet and calm, but I have heard that they can get very territorial.

I just hope they all stay expensive for the reason i read on another post which was an excellent point, a person should be totally passionate and dedicated to keepin this species of gecko. At $700.00 USD and thats the low end for a grande terre, i think we can avoid losers who will buy it just for a status or novelty pet, you need to do your homework and be prepared to take on this animal at any level

They take 5 years to reach sexual maturity and paring them for breeding can be tricky. They don't just screw any Rhac you put them with. If the male/female doesnt like each other they will attack. Even if they like each other enough to mate for a few years, they can later change their minds and want nothing to do with each other.

They lay 1 or 2 eggs, usually 1 per year.

These are some of the reasons babies can sell for up to 1K. If you think they will make you rich, think again. ;P
