Cages much too small, especially for the sugar gliders, cockatiels (both those animals should be flying) and the iguana/s.

Taking animals for free and then selling them? Breeding them for money? Whose sake is that really for? The animals did not ask to be bred into this world.

And by the numbers in the beginning I count 50 animals, excluding the "countless rats and mice". But then they talk about guinea pigs, snakes and chinchillas, how many animals do they have?

Shane's fiance mentioned that he spent thousands of dollars on these animals... its true. My fiance and myself have 21 pets total in a split level apartment. Its expensive maintaining the animals and we work full time JUST to take care of the pets. Also Shane forgot to mention the electric bill...depends on the house but our bill is easily 400 per month due to the heating lamps and UVB lamps. Its serious. But we love our pets.

@BigPuffDragon52 Any pet has a risk of aggression and disease (rodents have a higher risk for the latter). I've read males are usually the ones with territorial aggression issues. I knew about them cannibalizing their young, but since I don't breed mine, I don't have to worry about that. Most breeders don't have that issue unless they don't have the basic knowledge of rat behaviors and instinct. That's their fault for not taking the right precautions.

@BigPuffDragon52 It's different because you have that pet's entire life to spend with them and you have them from the time they are young, so you know how they've been treated the entire time and a familiar bond is formed. A couple of articles somewhere online, I can't remember where exactly (popped up when I was looking for types of houses for rats on google). The credibility is questionable for those articles, but from my own experience with my two rats I believe it. (c)

Of course they have basic needs like every other animal does, but did you know that rats have been compared to dogs in their companionship? It's all based on the rat's personality and how they are treated. A rat with less handling would go about it's business and care less if you held it or not, but so would a cat and some dogs. Again, it's all how the animal is treated.
