  • Matthew 6:5 does say not to pray in public and so on but just because he prays and gets a lot of touchdowns doesn't mean God doesn't hear other people prayers of starving children. ( by the way there are starving children in the US too by just Africa) God has a plan for everything so please don't judge and say that God is not rewarding or helping the right people. NOBODY has the right to judge but but the almighty judge up above. God bless (:

  • @3:56 when she says if he were a Muslim....First of all if he were a Muslim everyone at FoxNews would be saying there no place for that here. like really could you imagine a Muslim praying on the field going down well with the football community which is largely christian. Just a month ago a right-wing conservative group force lowes to pull its advertising because the show "Muslim in america" shown Muslim not planning to blow up a bridge or a school or even a building but shown them being normal

  • Tebow: "Hey everybody! Look how humble I am!"

  • Bernie makes too much sense. That explains the hate he gets from the far left and right

  • I used to pray , then I took an arrow to the knee

  • don't you get it? because tim tebow is religous and the most popular athlete right now, he's going to influence kids across the nation to be religous too. Now, the secularists don't want this, so they want to make fun of him to prevent his faith from spredding. People might say "Oh, he's doing it for attention" but he's not. He did missionary work in the Phillipines. You call that non-Christian? People who make fun of him don't know what they're talking about an should just leave the room.

  • @SomeFluffer64 Matthew 6:5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men". But what's the bible got to do with Christianity right? Yeah, hell with it.

  • @SomeFluffer64 Except that Jesus Christ himself, in his very own words (Matt 6:5), said praying should be private and discreet. What's the point of Christianity if Christians don't obey Christ?

  • @roguequokka how can Christianity spread if people don't show others what it is? Praying in public for attention, that's bad. But Tebow's doing it to thank God for getting those touchdowns. And he's not the only one.

  • @SomeFluffer64 He also does it on the bench and before entering the game. It's completely over the top. 85% of America is Christian and if the faith needs a quarterback to spreadit, then I suggest giving up now.

  • @roguequokka how many of those Christians actually practice their faith?

  • TIM TEBOW DANCE ON MY PAGE

  • Matthew 6: "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and the street corners to be seen by others. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Like 95% of Christians, Tebow doesn't know what the Bible says.

  • @goldenthroat86 Not that I completely disagree with you, but realize that the pharisees were hypocrites. They didn't live what they preached. Even Jesus spoke words to his Father when others were looking. Tebow just EXPRESSES his faith. He hardly PRAYS to God openly everywhere dramatically, which is what the pharisees did. So I would conclude that you haven't taken all of the Bible into consideration.

  • @goldenthroat86 who are you to judge? He's doing it not to get attention, but to convince kids that being religous isn't something to be ashamed of.

  • @SomeFluffer64 How is quoting Jesus' own words judging Tebow? If he's a follower of Christ, shouldn't he follow his advice?

  • @goldenthroat86 Matthew 6:5 doesn't only say, not to pray in public, BUT, to not pray in public for the PURPOSE of being "seen by others", trying to glorify himself. Tebow's purpose is the Great Commission (Matt.28:18-20) and to make disciples, which Jesus commanded.

Jesus said, if you deny Me before men, I will deny you before my Father which is in Heaven (Matt.10:33). And, let your light shine before men, so they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven.

  • @goldenthroat86 Psalm 105:1"O give thanks unto the Lord;call upon his name:make known his deeds among the people." I'm pretty sure God can tell when one's being genuine in his faith because well...he's God.If Tebow is doing this for show he will pay in the end,but who are we to say that he is.Way too much stone throwing in here.People love to mock him because they're miserable in their own lives.

  • @goldenthroat86

    Nice twist. Ever consider politics?

  • if some other player was praying something else only Fox news would question whether this was legal. Fox news is the last organization to be questioning the status quo. Everyone should be able to pray as they choose fit.

  • Also, two Bill Maher jokes don’t exactly qualify as an anti-Tebow crusade. The media is making this Tebow hatred up.

  • Does anyone else find it really condescending to call Tebows success a “miracle” ?

  • Tim Tebow is glorifying the one who had died for him publicly. Jesus will be proud of Tebow when He returns. Luke 12:8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. Thank you for posting this video.

  • Yes, thank you Jesus for helping Tebow and ignoring all the babies dying of starvation and disease. Good job god....

  • @colconcass "thank you Jesus for helping Tebow and ignoring all the babies dying of starvation and disease. Good job god...."

God has placed this world into the hands of mankind to take care of it, and Jesus said,"Love your neighbors as yourself", and for us to "feed the hungry" and "clothe the poor". It won't be God whom will be judged, bu† mankind (Matt.25:31-46). Anyone who does the commandments of Jesus Christ, to him, Jesus will say,"Well done, good and faithful servant".

  • How wonderful God is for giving Tebow all those touchdowns. They were much more important than all the kids that starved to death in Africa at the same time.

  • @ExpensiveGun "How wonderful God is for giving Tebow all those touchdowns."

Not once did Tebow pray for touchdowns. Someone had an open mic on Tebow on the sideline praying, and Tebow's prayers during the games are more like,"Dear heavenly Father, I pray, whether we lose or win, that our play will bring honor to You".

So much for the selfish prayer that you're hoping for. It's mankind's job to take care of mankind (Matt.25:31-46).

  • @roguequokka Jesus said that about excessive praying.. If you were in a battle, wouldn't you pray as well.. He's asking God for help, not as an advertisement

  • @TheAmericanoutlaw12 Except he's not in battle. He is being paying paid exceptionally well to play professional sports. Comparing that to a battle is an insult to veterans and he most certainly advertising his faith. There is zero need to do that on the field except to make a spectacle of the act. Matthew 6:5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men."

  • @roguequokka I agree that he's advertising. He has such a great thing though. What saved person doesn't want to advertise :) but he is in battle friend. Physical war is not the same as ones soul. We wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers. Better is he that rules his own spirit than one who conquers a city. Many veterans have commited suicide because the fighting wasn't the hard part, but not being able to overcome the effects that battle had on them

  • Didn't Jesus warn against those who 'pray on street corners'? In other words, make a public spectacle of their faith rather than the solemn private duty he thought it should be? Tebow might as well be rubbing a voodoo chicken bone on himself.

  • Can anyone name a single person that has expressed “anger and vitriol” towards Tebow?

Joking about someone’s unique behavior is not bigotry, and yes, it’s uncommon to get down on you knee and pray ever single time you succeed in anyway shape or form. It’s not inappropriate; it’s ripe for parody, and comedy does not cast serious judgment.

  • well said by Bernie

  • If "God" actually did exist I don't think helping this moron win ball games would be very high on his "to do" list.

  • The information attached to this video states that evolution has been debunked by "a little known fact" that carbon-14's half life if 5700 years. This is NOT a "little known fact" and, whilst there are other carbon dating techniques which are accurate up to 40,000 years, no reputable scientist would submit a carbon dating analysis exceeding 50,000 years. Relative and absolute dating methods (more accurate than carbon dating) are used to determine fossil age. Evolution is very real indeed.

  • God Bless Tim Tebow. Continue to praise the Lord Jesus Christ!

He has freedom of speech in America... end of story.

  • They should give an example of these critics. I think they just make this shit up. Vick wasn't polarizing, everybody hated him for what he did.

  • I'm tired of FOX News making blanket statements about how "some people" are saying one thing or another. It's insulting and disingenuous. This 'report' is just another instance of FOX making up a fake controversy simply to fill airtime. NOBODY cares if some quarterback is religous or not. If GOD allows war, famine, and death then I'm sure a football game is pretty low on the list of benevolent priorities. FOX News Lies.

  • @AntichristComes Studying the Bible leads to confusion more than it yields answers. That's what I learned during those wasted years of sunday school.

  • @Blaznblitz33 If someone wants to learn, they will learn. You didn't want to learn the Bible.

Learning to play guitar is very confusing for most people, too. But, there are still many experts whom can play excellent guitar, because they wanted to learn.

  • @AntichristComes

If you want to remaing with your biased glasses while studying the bible you will obviously not see all the hateful bullshit it has as well.

  • @AntichristComes But the Bible is open to interpretation. You could study it for years and come to a different conclusion then other people. Playing the Guitar is not that way. If you practice for years you will come to the same conclusion. Once you know the fingerings you can play, maybe not with the skill of masters but play nonetheless.

  • @Blaznblitz33 If bible study lead you to leaving your faith (which appears to be a positive even for you), then how was sunday school a waste? Quit acting like some butthurt dweller (ala the amazing atheist).

  • @Walnut444ify It was a waste because I spent a lot of time learning something I would ultimately reject. Besides, my whole point is that the bible doesn't help anyone. It's very open to interpretation, so his comment I replied to first was not going to solve anything (which is what I said) . That was my intention. I hope you understand.

  • Let's face it, if Tebow was a Muslim Conservatives would be very uncomfortable with him expressing his love of Mohammed. Complete hypocrites.

  • @JaymoeSays First... not all Conservatives are Christians. Second... how is it hypocrisy for a Christian to be uncomfortable about someone worshiping Muhammad, if they believe Muhammad is a false prophet and false teacher? Christians would be heretics if they thought otherwise.

  • Tim, Jesus says you are a hypocrite, Matt 6:5 !

  • @Greathiway He's being a hypocrite (Matt.6:5) ONLY if he's trying to give himself glory instead of God. Here are other verses to consider...

"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."- Matt. 5:16

"Whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven."- Matt. 10:32,33

  • @AntichristComes "ONLY if he's trying to give himself glory" Doesnt jesus seem to say praying when the spotlight is on you to be seen by men has this effect? "other verses to consider" Well those would contradict Matt 6:5 if you consider prayer a good work or that openly telling people you are christian as prayer.

  • @Greathiway If the purpose of Tim Tebow is to pray to God BECAUSE the lights are on him and people are watching him, because then it will glorify him, then it would be wrong. But, it appears to me, that all he wants to do is glorify God... that has been his life, ever since his parents were missionaries.

The verses I gave don't contradict Matt. 6:5, because Matt. 6:5 is talking about a different type of person... one who only wants glory for himself and not God.

  • @Greathiway but.....he is not doing it for the praise of men. He is doing it to give glory to God.

  • @IanLoewen " He is doing it to give glory to God." If he is Why is why does he seem to disobey and disagree with how his god commands he give him glory? Jesus tells him to pray in private, and those that praying at the very moment they know everyone's eyes are on em , is who Jesus calls hypocrites, no?

  • @Greathiway everything that someone does when they are well known becomes public. Even whenever they are sitting down to meals, everybody swarms them. Coming back to Matthew 6:5, it says so that you are not seen by men, meaning so that you are not seeking the praise of men, which Tebow is not doing. If praying in front of people were a sin, then praying in church would be frowned upon by God (which it isn't). This verse has been taken out of context many times.

  • @IanLoewen "This verse has been taken out of context " well when would this instruction apply? Seems like praying after a touchdown would be the most opportunistic moment to pray and therefore most applicable , no? And Yes his life is very public that does not mean he has no private time.

  • Good for you Tebow. Giving thanks to God in all his glory. A good role model for all the kids who love to watch football. And Goldberg's comments on the age of the earth are stupid. Im completely shocked he said the Bible was wrong on television. we need more Tebow's in the public world

  • HEHE, people are affending Christianity and the bible because it the truth. And people are afraid of the truth.

  • @TheCrwilliams hahahhaha yes, that's it.

  • STFU Goldberg!

  • @Majorasword64 True

  • @yarahahrwe wrong

  • "in the entire world of sport!!!" LOOOOOOOOOL he's only known in America..America is not the whole world, I never heard of this guy before lol

  • Genesis 6 "Dinosaurs Existed"

And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, [“I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both MAN AND BEAST, CREEPING THING and BIRDS, for I AM SORRY that I have made them.”

  • Jesus is the ONLY way!!!!

  • @djmex713 wrong

  • @djmex713 Wrong

  • the fact is that in these endtimes(of this world system before the rapture, 7yr. tribulation w/ antichrist & his disposal, millenium, & then final riddance of evil)God has confounded the "wise" by using this meaningless game that attracts millions to draw attention to the gospel that they may be saved.tim is a faithful servant & God will use whatever way He wants, thru tim, because God doesn't need anyone's permission--everybody already knows the probability of what has happened in these games

  • I'm behind Tim 10000%. God is real and get saved before its too late. Proud of you Tim.

  • Tebow needs to keep his religious beliefs off the field and out of the spotlight.

I can't say merry christmas to customers at work but Tebow can talk about god on TV all day? WTf?

  • @NicholasBarnesMusic The difference is, Tim tebow is rockstar larger than life figure, he gets to say whatever the hell he wants. You are a "yes man/woman", thats life.

  • @Navila1 So hypothetically, Aaron Rodgers could go on TV and advocate atheism then?

  • @NicholasBarnesMusic yes, just like tom cruise can go on tv and take about scientology

  • @NicholasBarnesMusic "So hypothetically, Aaron Rodgers could go on TV and advocate atheism then?"

Aaron Rodgers claims to be a Christian, also...

    offthebench.nbcsports . com /2011/11/30/aaron-rodgers-on-tim-tebow-religion-controversy-i-believe-in-letting-my-actions-speak-about-the-kind-of-character-i-have/

  • @NicholasBarnesMusic While your employer might have a rule against saying,"Merry Christmas" to customers, the NFL has no such rule. So, Tim Tebow can do what he wants.

  • @NicholasBarnesMusic Dude quit your crying. He could pray wherever and whenever he wants. If you also crying over not sayin merry christmas to customers than quite. Its your choice.

  • Bernie is dishonest in his analysis. He is telling that there are intolerant people in both camps, nobody is denying that so no need to show that angle over and over. The real issue is media hates Tim Tebow because he is white Christian (Convservative). If the same act is done by a black christian (Liberal/democart) people will praise him even more for having great character. If a Muslim does that the media will protect him. The real issue is, people are slamming him for being conservative.

  • Oh please , Black althletes do this all the time, Holyfield, Ali, Tyson, Serena Williams, its because Tebow is White ok, fes up!

  • Well Christians have to admit there is some bit of narcissism that it take to think a god is responsible for you winning a game while millions of childern who are starving are denied their prayers and starve to death.

  • @Greathiway God is not responsible for winning football games just as He isn't responsible for starvation and death. However, God is the ruler of the universe and is in control of all things.

  • @Greathiway It won't be God who will be judged for the millions of starving people in the world today, but, the millions who won't feed those in need will be the ones who will be judged by God. Without faith, it's impossible to please God, so don't expect God to help nations if they don't have faith in Him.

As for Christian athletes praying, I don't believe they thank God for being on their side, but that they were able to achieve, whether they win or if they lose.

  • @AntichristComes "millions who won't feed" Well not if your christian, then all your responsibility is pardoned by grace, no matter your crime, That is the abdication of justice not perfect morality or justice. Even a single child going to hell is a unfathomable injustice, Then add that even a man that might have raped and killed them would go to heaven if he then believed in the right god. How you live believing your salvation is predicated in the eternal suffer of billions: is lost on me

  • @Greathiway If a Christian does something immoral, they must still repent for it, again. If he doesn't repent, he's in the same boat as he was when he didn't believe. There's no such thing as "once saved, always saved", or Jesus wouldn't have said,"He who endures till the end shall be saved". Children don't go to Hell, just as aborted babies don't go to Hell.

ALL have sinned, ALL sin is bad, and ALL sin can be forgiven by God, if the repentance is real. God knows.

  • @AntichristComes You're right in saying that all true Christians must repent and therefore, all true Christians will repent before dying. So, the true Christians are "once saved, always saved" because they WILL endure by God's grace and the work of the Holy Spirit. To say that there are true Christians who can fall away from the faith is to say God is not powerful enough to change a person completely through the Holy Spirit. It only looks like believers fall away, but they're not believers.

  • @Greathiway The problem is you don't understand sin. All sin, including impure thoughts, is an abomination to God and worthy of death, separation from God. So all are guilty and none are righteous. That leaves one and only one option for all men: Christ. You don't understand that God defines what is good, not you. Doing good works but not loving God has broken God's most important command, love the Lord with all heart mind and strength. Selfish man worships himself not He who gave him breath.

  • @paint14872 imaginary friends and fairy tales are for children, that's why churches demand people to be "born again", so they can keep them in intellectual infancy. god didn't give me breath, my parents did.

  • @bucko60 Well said...i'll add that religion preys on the weak minded..."A man's ethical behaviour should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death." Albert Einstein

  • @bigjblaze Christians aren't "restrained by fear of punishment". Jesus Christ said,

"he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." (John 5:24)

You must be talking about another "religion"...

  • @bucko60 Prove God is imaginary. If your parents created you, lets see them create life from dirt... OR, what's the recipe for creating a sperm cell or an ovum cell? The human body has been programmed to create these two essentials for life... but the human has no need to think about it. Someone has done the thinking for them... God!

How is a seed created from non-life? No scientist knows... but God knows! You're one breath away from finding out how wrong you are. Is it worth it?

  • @AntichristComes no, you prove to me that god exists. if i said i saw a leprechaun, you'd want me to prove it to you, not have you prove it to me, right? don't give me a bible quote either. bible verses mean nothing to me and give me proof of nothing. they give you proof because you believe in fairy tales. to say the body is programmed by someone or something is ignorant, just as saying that it isn't. you have no proof of god existing or not existing.

  • @bucko60 I've already proved God exists, but you won't do what's required... study Bible prophecy, especially for the End Times, Latter Years, or Last Days!

Also, creation proves God's existence. To believe any life can arise from non-life by some mindless and purposeless process is the highest level of denial.

You'll receive the ultimate proof, when you give up your last breath.

  • @AntichristComes i have read the end of times with the horsemen and trumpets and etc. it's all a bunch of nonsense. earth will end by an asteroid or some other major natural catastrophe (which you will attribute to god or jesus or something). you have no idea of how insignificant we are in the whole scheme of the universe. we live in a galaxy 100000 light years in diameter among billions of other galaxies. i'm not atheist, i am god, we are all god, clear as day.

  • @bucko60 "it's all a bunch of nonsense"

Study it, don't just read it. And Revelation doesn't say, Earth will end by any kind of catastrophe.

  • @AntichristComes - btw, i am my own religion. i am my own god.

  • @bucko60 "i am my own religion. i am my own god"

That's what atheism is all about... man is the beginning and the end, and man can solve everything without God's help. Good luck!

  • @paint14872 "you don't understand sin" No I dont no one can because it a illogical immoral and bankrupt concept.

"none are righteous"contrdicted by the fact that Many people are called righteous in the bible. And If you read Deut 30 it say all you need to do is keep the law it can be kept and no one needs to ascend from heaven for you to do.

"God defines what is good," NO it is men like you that judge what is of god? You just push the question back How to judge what from a good god?

  • Most of Americans are Christian, people aren't mocking him for his religion. They're mocking him because they think bringing God into a football game is silly.

btw, I've heard more about Tim Tebow from Christians than anyone else. He's far from the most polarizing figure in sports or anything else.

  • @DarkEmergence Tim Tebow isn't the only sports athlete who brings God into the game. Who do you think Albert Pujols is pointing to after hitting a home run? Reggie White was very vocal about God and his faith on the field, but I've never heard of White getting the scrutiny that Tebow has. Secularlists refuse to accept Freedom of Religion, and there are plenty them (and liberals) whom are saying, how "silly" it is for Tebow to give thanks to God, where others can see it.

  • @AntichristComes How can you say secularist refuse to accept Freedom of Religion (you might want to look up secularism) when you bring up two other players of faith, one whom you admit didn't receive the same scrutiny. Yes, people are saying it's silly to give thanks for a football game, that doesn't mean they have anything against religion.

  • @DarkEmergence Cont... You said, Tebow isn't the most polarizing figure in sports, and I never said he was. I've heard so-called "Christians" say stuff against Tebow, who say they're Christians, but cuss like the devil. I've also read comments against Tebow in my video comments (which I've deleted), that are from venomous secularists/atheists. You won't hear comments against Tebow, from Christians who truly follow Jesus Christ, who are told to make disciples!

  • @AntichristComes I was responding to the video which did say he was the most polarizing figure, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure what the rest of your post is responding to.

  • @AntichristComes wow dark emergence is here to wow this dude needs a hobby lol
