@howardkevinm Ive noticed when they done alot of their stuff live in the seventies, it was always quite fast,it makes it more energetic I supose...I love it!!!
I'm sure I am not the first one to comment about the jumpsuits, lol, but it's like watching five Elvi. At least they do justice to the look. They were great back in the day.
I think what's great from Osmonds is they sang songs that somehow all melodies are recognized as something brand new and modern. This song somehow sounds same like musics from late 90s. How cool they are!!
Chick Chick: You have extremely good taste for being so young! And u are right, the UK fans seem to show their appreciation for The Osmonds way more than their American fans, and I am one American fan that plans on changing that! You go Chick, glad to have you as a fellow Os fan, The Osmonds ARE all that and more!
This is actually an American Show. This is the video from the show in Los Angeles when they recorded the first "Osmonds Live" record back in 71 or 72. There's a few videos posted from that show.
Yes this is the Forum concert used for "The Osmonds Live". If you look at the back cover of the "Phase III" album, you will notice that it is a screen shot of this performance as well.
I've always wondered why, in live performance, they always left out the part "Cuz I'm so afraid you will cast me away, like a beat-up, worn-out toy -- so I hold on tight with all of my might, just to be your lovin' boy". It's not on the video from the Flip Wilson Show, or on any of the concert videos that I can find, but it's on the original recording and on the single with "Keep on My Side" on the B side. Anyone know why they made this change? Just curious...
agreed. i ahve no idea either and i was wondering why too. i thought i had just got the song wrong when i watched clips of it and donny enver sang it but its true, they jsut elave it out. i think its cause i no for a fact that there motehr was very strict on what lyrics they could sing and couldnt sing, and maybe thats why, but im just guessing x
offically love these guys. im only 14, god i wish i had been there in the osmond maina times, cus all i get to see of it is little clips of girls like screming there heads off and that sound clip of all the girls screaming 'we wont the osmonds'.. there all so sexy :D. xx
i lvo reading all he comments from all the people who were back in the 70's growing with the osmonds. wish i had been there, unfortunately im only 14 dammit, these guys are incredible. love them all xxxxx
My sister and I saw them in Concert in Mexico City in the early 70's and I still remember the performances, the screaming, everything. WOW. This brings it all back.
Thanks for posting.
No one has talent like this anymore. NO LIP SYNCHING HERE!
Love the dance, clothes, and defiantly the groove and and the way they move-Man I wish music was still that good now a days. Nothing beats the Osmond's!!!
Is there anything they aren't good at from dances, to singing, to looking marvelous and moving and grooving the way they do Osmond brothers rule even after 30 years!!!
I never saw the boys live, but I did have the live album and from everything I've read they really kicked ass on stage. I always loved it when Merrill and Donny traded leads (esp. before Donny's voice changed), and the best part is--they're having fun!
