  • The Arab countries force their Jewish citizens (about 900K people) to flee for their lives at 48. They became refuges in Israel, but less than a decade after they were already left the camps and join the Israeli society. Why all of the refugees from the end of ww2 (3 years before 1948) aren't refugees for generations and refugees of even latest conflicts (the Balkan wars at the 1991) now aren't, but the Palestinians still are? is the Arab countries using just them?

  • rafvrab, even former Israeli PM's have acknowledged that Palestinians who fled to camps in 48 did so because of the terrorism of Irgun et al. If THEY can admit it why can't you?

  • lebanon for lebabnese

  • This is so touching. Those beautiful children. So much suffering. I hope there will be a resolution to the palestinian refugee problem soon, but I dont see it anytime soon to be honest. God bless you Sir for showing this.....

  • تحية من اعماق قلبي الي كل من ساهم في بنا الموقع الجميل الذي يساهم في معرفة المواطن بلده العزيز فلسطين

  • fuck israel the u.s.a and those motherfuckers that think that lebanon should kick the palestines out.

  • In March 1976. Mahmoud Abbas, the current president of the Palestinian Authority, wrote: "The Arab armies entered Palestine to protect the Palestinians from the Zionist tyranny but, instead, they abandoned them, forced them to emigrate and to leave their homeland, and threw them into prisons similar to the ghettos in which the Jews used to live."

  • there is a very delicate ethnic balance in lebanon. this palestinians will fuck it up and cause another civil war.

  • i hope form the lebo government to send all the palestinian people out of lebanon ......

  • It really brought tears to my eyes,I don't know till when Arabic society will keep watching with no move,I would like to thank the lebanese people for barring with the Palestinians refugees and keeping them for the last 60 years, but i do appreciate the lebanese government if it would push more in all arabic nations to either help the refugees by supporting them with aids or give them nationlities, Palestinian documents is for no use.

  • dont worry man it can't go on forever. some day we in america will wake up and say 'no more'..it's almost like our society makes you feel stupid as fuck for saying anything unorthodox like helping arabs. i cant stand it

  • So now rafvrab it is time for a history lesson. In 1948 Israeli forces & Jewish terrorist groups such as Haganah, Irgun and Stern terrorized the Palestinian street, destroyed villages & slaughtered entire Palestinian families. Thirty four massacres were documented by Zionist historian Benny Morris to have occurred within a few months. These attacks were part of Plan Dalet and aimed to annihilate the Palestinian population.

  • Nope. There has never been a Jewish Auschwitz for Arabs. Never a Jewish Treblinka for Arabs. Never such a thing. Comparing us to the Nazis is more than mere hogwash, is also an offensive, stupid concept.

  • I never said you were Nazis. I said 3 yrs after the Nazi's persecution of Jews ended with the end of WWII, Zionists were doing similar things to another race of people. I never said the "same" things; I said "similar" things. I would have thought after what Jews had experienced by Nazi's, Zionists would not want anything "similar" to happen to others. I would have thought they would have shown more compassion to fellow human beings. All I want is peace, freedom & restoration of Human rights.

  • So in the interests of peace I am hoping you will please stop putting the blame onto others and accept that the State of Israel should accept some responsibility for its previous and current actions. I am not anti-Semitic, I am against Zionism at the cost of others, just like many others including Jews all around the world.

  • you masacres can witness whether you are Nazis or not, I am one of the people that his land were been raped by you,I don't have homeland because of you,I don't have passport because of you,I don't have nationailty because of you,I don't have a stable life because of you..So in my opnion yeah and 1000 yeah you are Nazis

  • Want a passport? Ask the UN, who's kept you with "refugee" status all your life!

  • Which UN? they need a passport themselves,I would rather prefer to have my original passport " Palestinian",It is my homeland,It is my grandfathers' land,we need to have our occupied lands and identity thats we are looking for..( Free Palestine)

  • An estimated 13,000 Palestinians were killed & 737,166 Palestinians were forcibly evicted from their homes and land. Five hundred & thirty one Palestinian villages were entirely depopulated and destroyed. Approximately 50% of all Palestinian villages were destroyed in 1948. Think about it, this happened just 3 years after the end of World War II, just 3 years after the end of the Nazi enforced Jewish Holocaust & here were Israeli Zionists doing similar things to another race of people.

  • Don't think that this was just directed at Muslims, not that it should make any difference. The British census of 1922 placed the Christian Palestinian population in Jerusalem at just over 51 percent. Zionist settlement increased the proportion of Jews in Palestine, but the Jewish presence in Jerusalem remained relatively small. However, the hostilities that followed the UN partition vote of 28 November 1947 had a devastating effect on the Palestinian population.

  • Historian Sami Hadawi estimated that over 50 percent of Jerusalem's Christians were expelled from their West Jerusalem homes, the largest single numerical decline of Christians in Palestine in history. Hadawi's study concluded that in Jerusalem a higher proportion of Palestinian Christians became refugees after 1949, a ratio of 37 percent of Christians to 17 percent of the Muslims.

  • The higher ratio of Christians was due in part to the fact that the majority lived in the wealthier western Jerusalem districts seized by Israel during 1948-49. Further, approximately 34 percent of the lands seized by Israel were owned by Palestinian Christian churches, and they were simply taken by force with no compensation given to the previous owners. • For me I want to draw a line in the sand and say that past is past and we need to move on to find peace and restore human and equal rights, freedom and giving back the land that has been illegally taken from the Palestinians and at the very least reinstate the UN stated borders and have them respected, remove Israel's Annexation Wall and allow Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland.

  • Would anyone explain why they keep these people as "refuges" for over 60 years, rather than let them integrate into society? 60 years is enough time for a third, may be a fourth generation to be born on Lebanese soil. Why aren't they Lebanese?

  • It is a good question. The Lebanese Government does not see why they should be shouldered with this responsibility as it should be a world wide issue & they are a poor country & cannot afford to integrate all of these refugees into their country. The real question should be why won't Israel allow them back as they have been directed by the UN? Israel allows most Jews to settle but won't allow Palestinians back in.

  • Because they do not belong in Israel. They have been for 3 generations in Lebanon. Why would they not be Lebanese? In the USA, a first generation born there, regardless of the status of their parents, is automatically given a full citizen's status.

  • As stated Lebanon is a poor country it hasn't got the means to support these refugees. At present these refugees get financial help from the UN, once they become Lebanese then the UN has no responsibility. Most of them want to be in Palestine which is the place they see as home & Israel won't allow them back.

  • Why should a poor country like Lebanon have to shoulder the responsibility when they have at least done the right thing and sheltered them on their land. Why isn't Israel accountable? They do belong in Palestine because if Israel had followed the UN directive there should not be 3rd generations living in refugee camps. If they do not belong in Israel then neither do the Jews who still migrate to Israel.

  • cherylgraham2:

The opposite is true. The Jews have ALWAYS belonged to the Land of Israel, and the Land of Israel has always belonged to the Jewish People.

The so called "Palestinian" Arabs were there for a few generations, and are now out of there for a few generations. Had they be allowed to integrate into Lebanese society, they would have provided their contribution to Lebanese society, just as everyone else.

  • Are you really serious? The "Palestinian" Arabs were only there in the Palestinian area for a few generations? Well who was there before the Arabs were there for a few generations? I will tell you who Arab Jews, Christians and Muslims who all lived relatively peacefully until the Zionists came in. Why are there Palestinians in the refugee camps, who caused them to flee their homes and why did they have to flee?

  • The Arabs never lived in real peace. The relative order of most of the XIX century is due to the iron hand of the Ottoman rule, even though earlier in that century they had to wrestle back the land from barbaric Arab hoards.

The illusion that Zionism "ruin the peace" is nothing but historic propaganda hogwash.

  • Sir you call it history because it is in your best interests to call it history, as you are an Israeli Zionist. How dare you say that it is Lebanon's problem when it was the Zionists who drove the Palestinians out. You have shown your bias in your statement "The Jews have ALWAYS belonged to the Land of Israel, and the Land of Israel has always belonged to the Jewish People." I know that many Jews do not agree with you & even the UN does not agree with you.

  • rafvrab your country is in contravention of the UN because the state of Israel refuses to allow Palestinian refugees to exercise their natural, legal and historic right to return. Do you rafvrab discount the testimony given (part 1 of the documentary) by the old Palestinian man who as a child saw 60 men and older teenagers lined up and shot in a firing squad. This is your history and it still goes on.

  • Also, the Arabs who fled in 1948 did so under the tutelage of their own leaders, who wanted to clear the way for their armies to try and imitate the Mongol's conquest. It didn't work, and the Arabs fell into a refugee limbo. That is now old history. It's time to move on and integrate their grandchildren into the countries they now live.

  • can't*

  • I almost cried during this video, those lebanese phalange have no shame for what they did, i can stand the gemayals, let all of them burn in hell.

  • Thanks, AlternateFocus, for this film.

I'd like to mention, with respect to the scrolling message in the end, that the Israeli invasion to Lebanon was in response to the Hizballah militia's crossing of the internationally recognized border from Lebanon to Israel, killing 8 Israeli soldiers and kidnapping 2 others. Israel did not provoke this attack.
