there was a time when you never covered such clasics but now nothing seems to matter anymore i notice they even try to say things like phil did oh deer
Im not sure why Im even here, but there is some songs u just dont go near, AND THIS IS 1 OF THEM.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, who cares about the corrs, RIP Phil Xxx
pure sacrelige..the song was about himself. anyone with half a brain or a fan would know. The Corrs or The Whorrs as my friend calls them for making a classic into the worst kind of shite!! Ah Phil if only you were around to tell them where to put their diddly eye violin so called rock/folk shite..the world would be a better place. musically that is :/
How fitting that the Corrs should record this song as a tribute to the great Phil Lynott. He was the trailblazer for young Irish people in rock music. R.I.P Phil Lynott. I miss you still.
ahhhemmm, without mics of one sort or the other you wouldn't have heard most of what there is of recorded music. The unplugged series featured musicians using primarily using acoustic instruments as in not using their usual tools of the trade, electric guitars and basses through amplifiers. If you'd care to listen to music unplugged go find you some Edison's (either wax cylinders or victrola) or perhaps some wire recorder stuff! lol
@benkysatrio Would a mic be considered an eletrical music instrument? Or speakers? I thought unplugged meant like pure no electronic shit, including mics and speakers(well, perhaps they allow mics, but i don't think it should include anything electric, even electric acoustics(like those that look like they are hooked up to amp/speakers) etc if you really wanna be honest and true 'unplugged', but who cares. What matters is that it works how you like, and it's usually slower and more 'real' :p
@joe4490 Yeah, i agree that a mic should be allowed so they can record of course. But a true unplugged won't record anything, like a true musician busking in the street. Just an acoustic guitar/piano etc and a voice, and maybe an amp/mic like i said. I'll give them those things in the interest of entertaining the crowd better, but yeah if they go overboard, it's too much after and it's not 'unplugged' anymore since there are plugs and wires and electric instruments everywhere...

Can't the Minister for the Arts do something about these idiots covering classics songs?
These charlatans also murdered The Blue Nile's Tinsel Town In The Rain.
People have been send to Mountjoy for less that this insipid desecration.

In retrospect& in light of Jim's persistent unorthodox views "Justice 4 JIm" was a mistake (remember "2phat!")

@ex0duzz well for a start, it's physically impossible to record something thats "unplugged" without a microphone...
