They won't be able to make it half as good never mind any better, afterall the average american viewer is quite dumb. There definitely won't be anything complex or abstract involved. I didn't even know Korean or Japanese horrors existed until recently. All the american remakes i've seen were terrible!

Ahaha, the only half-good horror movie I've seen is Hide and Seek. The dude had multiple personality disorder, which made it interesting. Obviously, this girl has the same disorder, so I hope they keep it the same in the movie. I'll go see the movie, but I won't expect much. I totally agree with you, though.

The original Grudge and the original Ring was SO much scarier and better.

Can someone explain the movie to me? Me and my friend watched it Tuesday mourning and last night, but we can't figure out what was going on. Only that Su-Mi was accutally doing the horrible things and picturing the step mother was and that their real mother hung herself in Su-Yeon's closet, then it fell on Su-Yeon, and the step mother seen but didn't tell anyone or help her, so Su-Yeon died as Su-Mi ran away (Not sure about that but it looks like she did).

Well, the flash back where Su-Yeon found her mom dead in the closet and closet falling and killing Su-Yeon was what really happened. And everything that happened in the movie dealing with the step mother and such, was all in Su-Mi's head, since she was insane. Cause when she came home from the asylum at the beginning of the movie, her dad thought that she was actually cured when really going back to the house only made her worse. Since she felt so responsible for Su-Yeon's death.

Well actually no one killed their real mom she killed herself/ hung herself in the closet. And Su-mi was the one who killed the bird and yes the step-mom was really bad/rude as they showed her to be.

The person who was in the bag was supposed to be Su-Mi's sister Su-Yeon and the step mom was hitting it cause she hated Su-Yeon and just wanted to take her anger out on her I guess lol And who was the ghost in the kitchen you ask. That would be Su-yeon ^-^ I hope I answered your questions
