@Sunny310v2 No, we did not determine what caused the CATO. We are certain the motor was built as required and we did use the newly recommended inter grain 'O' rings. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary and the Aerotech East Coast Representitive was present for the build and launch attempt. Apparently, there are two documented CATO's with this motor but no cause has been suggested. There may be some new protocol soon involving the ignitor placement and epoxying a grain that might help. @ravinex Sorry for the delay in responding... The case was a brand new, never fired before, AT 75-5120. Everything was new including the forward and aft closures.
Beautiful rocket. Sorry for your loss. I have a friend that just lost his L3 rocket to an Aerotech motor CATO. I hope that Aerotech is taking notice.
