This is the purity of Bacharach music that it can be interpreted in so many ways. I recall Burt's puzzled reaction when Ron first indicated the tempo he wanted to take this tune, not the bouncy-cutesie standard - but quickly Burt realized the whole new approach Ron saw, and he was like "wow, yes... I see where you're going. Awesome..." those wonderful moments of rebirth make you cry just for the joy in it... thank you, Ronnie.

There is only ONE voice on the entire planet that makes those sounds... it is unique...and Ron Isley's voice does things to songs that no one else can do.. he EXPANDS them. Utter genius, real SOUL in every word, and Ron has the ability to make even the great Bacharachs tunes sound untouchable. Cilla Black did it with Alfie, Dionne Warwick did it with Walk on By, but this.. this is more than WOW...it is mind blowingly the cream of creams, this is on another scale of sheer class.
