I don't belive so. Vocaloid is a series om music programs which lets you compose music and put lyrics in as well. Miku is one of the programs voices, and she is so adorable :)

In my opinion, the pros is that newbie composers can used Vocaloid as starting ground to experiment before paving through stardom, for example ryo, DECO 27 and kz livetunes. Beside with human element eliminated as the representative for the music, less problem arise (diva, copyright bullshitz ,attitude etc)
