The bible says you cant. I dont know where, but many christians will avoid the bad parts of the bible and promote the good parts. Btw I am typing from hell lol.
@TheWarPlanet Yes Because All Children Are Conceived In Wedlock? It Would Be Totally Impossible And Out Of The Ordinary To For A Single Women To Be Pregnant? Excuse Me But My Parents Hated Each Other But Only Married Because My Mother Got Pregnant So Sorry But My Sorry Ass Is Not Here Due To "Normal" Marriage. Marriage Is For Love, And Our Perception Of Normal Is At A Constant Change. Your Morals Should Not Effect Us, I Am Pretty Sure That What The Bill Of Rights Is For.
It's disgusting that they use kids to promote their hate. These people are the definition of evil. They are stuck in a generation where the bible and the church has control over everyone. Thank God we no longer live in a generation like that.
"we must put the rights of children ahead of the interest of a few adults"....? The child in this video will learn that marriage is a bout the love between two people, not about making babies. So don't act as if gay marriages will violate the rights of children and teach them that marriage has no meaning. If you think this will happen as a result of gay marriages, then you clearly don't understand the meaning of marriage yourself.
You know when I was a child I was confused about the marriage. Then I saw a gay couple and my life turned upside down. I didn't understand values and became gay myself. I still have emotional scars and may never be the same. I want marriage to also be between same sex couples so that I am recognized in gods glorious eyes.
The logical fallacy of this particular commercial is if this gay couple were ALLOWED to MARRY, they would have waited until they were married to adopt (or surrogate) this child therefore thoroughly changing the text of this conversation. The little girl would see her fathers as married and know that even if marriage were solely about child-rearing (which it isn't), she would know that yes indeed marriage is "For Raising Children" and this gay relationship would in preserve its sanctity.
so since gay marriage confusses children we shouldnt allow it.... well i thing that vvery same girl is probably also confused about how sex works so it should be illigal.... and and math children hate math so lets get ride of mathamatitions. finaly that gilr isnt even guna have her first kiss for at least 6 more years so why does it matter if gay marriage confuses her. PLEASE INLIGHTON ME.
I think before you marry anyone, you should have to submit it to the government, and then they exam you and your life and determine if you are worthy for marriage. If it is not suitable, then you may be placed in a program to find a suitable partner FOR you. It should be up the government, not you. The government needs to be a bigger part of our lives.
In real life, this would never happen. They'd say "to make a vow to be with the person you love for the rest of your life," Like what my aunts said to me when I asked why they wanted to get married. It's not hard to answer, these people just want us to believe it is.
@YesProp8 Hahahahahahahaha!! Anti Family? Marriage isn't just for having kids. Its making a major commitment to the person you love. If everyone followed your point of view then it would be wrong to marry infertile women.
@YesProp8 Because they want the blessings of family but not the responsibilities that go with family.
They want the tax breaks, but they want to share those tax breaks to their lover, not to their baby's mother or father.
They want the respect, but not the obligation to honor and respect their kin.
They want to honor only those obligations that they enjoy honoring, but they want others to honor obligations to THEM despite this lack of reciprocity.
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That video at the end is a complete joke!! So the ONLY reason to get married is to have children? So couples who don't want kids or can't have kids shouldn't get married?
How about teaching your kids that marriage is for showing the person you love how much you love them, that you want to commit to them and share your life together. There is sooo much more to marriage than breeding.
“Andy Pugno has been a champion for the people of California and voters need to know his admirable record. Attempts by his opponents to smear him based on his stance on family values issues only clarify what voters in California already know: Andy Pugno identifies with their values and their rights and will fight for them as Assemblyman. The National Organization for Marriage enthusiastically supports Mr. Pugno and applauds his efforts in the Proposition 8 fight.”
Because the typical American family is an insult to them, because their lives are so screwed up. It isn't our fault if they are trying to feel better about themselves.
@idaman12345 Yes All Men Are Created Equal And Callifornia Voted Against Gay Marriages. If Homosexuals Want To Get Married So Badly Then Move To Massachuetts. And What Does Religion Have To Do With My Comment?
The commercial stated that if people can't biologically have children, they shouldn't wed. Lots of straight couples don't have kids, but that's okay, while a lot of gay couples adopt, but that's NOT okay? Where do these people come up with their logic? To me, it seems those two men got married so they COULD adopt, which is a very beautiful and okay thing. YesProp8, do you realize how hard it is to adopt an American child when you're not married? Please do some research before putting up videos.
Why Cant Homosexuals Just Except That We Dont Want Gay Marriages In California. We Voted And They Still Keep On Trying To Overturn It. If You Want To Get Married So Badly The Move To Massachuetts Its Not Illegal Over There!!!
@daftskull13 and the thousands of children waiting to be adopted but unless it's a male female couple then they have no hope in hell seeing as they seem to only want newborns.
“California voters spoke clearly on Prop 8, and we’re glad to see their votes will remain valid while the legal challenges work their way up through the courts. Invalidating the people’s vote based on just one judge’s opinion would not have been appropriate, and would have shaken the people’s confidence in our elections and the right to vote itself,” said Andy Pugno, general counsel for ProtectMarriage*com, the defendants in the Perry v Schwarzenegger case.
SACRAMENTO — This afternoon, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals granted a request by Prop 8 proponents to stay U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker’s ruling, thereby upholding the vote of 7 million Californians while the Perry v. Schwarzenegger case is heard on appeal. The arguments will occur in San Francisco the week of December 6, 2010.
This is sad, marriage is not only about having babies, its about love, an do you not realize what could happen to the children is gay couples do not adopt them, they might still be ophans! Even if you cant suppot gay marriage, wouldnt you have to agree that two loving gay parrents can do so much more for a child than having that child live on its own, or in a disfunctional family! this is nothing more than organized bigotry!
Also, as I watched the first minute and a half of the video, I felt like it was such a waste of time. Instead of having something that would take 30 seconds to read scroll slowly in a timespan of a minute in a half, you should've just had paragraphs show on screen. It also (in my opinion) wouldn't look as tacky.
I feel this is commercial is not only an attack on gay parents, but also on unmarried straight couples and single parents as well.
I know a mother has a rape child - a man raped her and she got pregnant. She's single an unmarried, but she loves her child dearly. She's a wonderful mom.
What about people who want to adopt children to help them and give them a better life than an orphanage? At least married gay couples could give these children a good life.
You don't need a freaking marriage to have a child, and to be a good parent.
There are plenty of single people out there that aren't married. Many unmarried straight couples that are fine parents.
A family doesn't need to be a "perfect" cookie cutter family to be a good family - it doesn't matter.
The two gay fathers in this video couldn've done a better job explaining - Marriage is an agreement to spent the rest of your life with your significant other, the one you love.
I know a girl who went through many foster homes as a kid. Most of the homes were horrible - She got beaten, abused, molested, raped; it's a wonder how she turned out the way she has - she's a wonderful person with a lot of promise and a bright future ahead of her
She said the best foster home she ever had was with a gay couple - they treated her like a princess and she says she owes her life to them. Then she got pulled out because they found out they were gay, and got raped by her next family
In Likasi and Lubumbashi, Sister Beck met with priesthood and Relief Society leaders and members in general training meetings. She praised members for their faith and devotion as she shared her vision for the bright future of their area, and encouraged them to be the hands that move the Church forward in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
LILBURN, Ga. – When she heard the scream coming from the backyard, Jeanie Castillo knew something was seriously wrong.
As the 16-year-old Mormon and others hurried to the side of a pool, they found Jeanie's little brother with Down Syndrome floating lifelessly in the water.
In 1857, explaining his decision to send the army to put down a "rebellion" in Utah, President James Buchanan complained that Brigham Young's fanatical followers "obey his commands as if these were direct revelations from heaven." One hundred and fifty years later, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints again stands accused of fanaticism, in this instance by a documentary that seeks to indict the church for its recent foray into the politics of marriage
For anyone wanting to win an argument on this (on either side), start throwing out the following words/phrases: Think of the children! Family Truth Justice Honor God's will America People Anti-family Those words/phrases are just obscure and mean absolutely nothing. This is to both sides, by the way. You're not gonna win a debate by proving that the other person is immoral; you win by proving that you're right. So thus, I challenge both sides to prove that you're right. Freedom
Love is love, you can't change that. Just because a man and a man or a woman and a woman love each other doesn't mean it's wrong. Love between two of the same gender isn't any different than love between different genders. Besides, look at how many kids there are in orphanages! Gays aren't bringing down the population, they're helping to make more families and more kids happy to have a family. I'm bisexual and I'm just as sane as any straight. Don't give me less rights because I am who I am.
@omiolo I'm not asking for SPECIAL rights, I'm just asking for equal rights. Gays should be recognized as a person, not as "that creepy gay down the street". They should be able to marry, they should be able to love and take their relationship to the same levels as straights. Everyone should be equal; we're all humans in the end.
@Zeekaice "I'm just asking for equal rights." please let me know SPECIFICALLY what RIGHT you are NOT given. Because I have a right to marry someone of the OPPOSITE sex. I am pretty sure you have the SAME right. I am NOT sure of ANY law that regulates LOVE. So that point of yours makes NO sense.
@Zeekaice I just realized that if you are a polygamist or involved in incest you do NOT have the right to marry anyone of the opposite sex. Then if that is the case, YES, you do NOT have the same rights as I do. I will then assume you are fighting for the rights of polygamists and incests, so that they can marry.
@omiolo Well, why are you changing the subject to incest and polygamy? I take it you're trying to make me look bad for a completely different subject. This isn't ABOUT polygamy OR incest, and I still stand strongly to my opinion that people love who they love and it's not any of our business. It's the business of the people involved in the relationship. If everyone's fine, everyone's fine. Let's say you're in a relationship. Should I say you're wrong? No, because it's not MY business.
@omiolo Do you realize how bad of an argument this is? If gays should pay back for healthy care, then shouldn't whites get pay back for enslaving black men for years? Or shouldn't women get pay back for all the years of undermining? You're argument lacks credence.
You have the rights as everyone else, but you want to change a social dynamic in marriage to suit your confused lifestyle. Truth hurts as times, but you need to deal with it.
@Zeekaice Sex is sex, and we can't stop people from having sex, but forcing a child to pretend he doesn't mind having "two daddies" instead of a chance to know his mother is not "love".
Love is love, but real love doesn't rely on abusing or exploiting children.
@vicorii So you're saying ALL kids are upset by having two fathers and no mother/vice versa? I mean, yes, I will agree that at some points, some children will wonder or get upset. However, it all ends with the fact that they have people who love and take care of them. It's better to have two fathers/mothers than to be in an orphanage. And besides, if I personally had two fathers/mothers, I wouldn't care. They're just like any other parent--they love me, they care for me, and they keep me safe.
@Zeekaice I know a guy who could say with a straight face that his father whipped him with a leather belt, and that it's right, normal and proper to beat a kid with a belt.
The children of gays are pressured from birth to feel a certain way. That in itself is child abuse.
It is normal and healthy for a motherless or fatherless child to grieve, and to ask after the missing parent, and care about the parents' motives for abandoning them. That gays deliberately stifle this proves what, exactly?
Straight people have children without getting married, this has many holes in it. My parents never had a traditional wedding and had 3 children. What then?
When men and women get together, they inevitably produce children, and society has an interest in encouraging parents to raise those children in the best social environment possible. Just because a husband and wife are oblivious to the public function they further by getting married does not mean that public function isn't really there.
look at the high rise divorce cases first imbeciles! people couldn't even protect themselves from divorces and you are asking for protection in marriage! Proposition 8 could not protect marriage because your country allows divorce!
The conflict escalated into the bitter "Mormon War" of 1838 and ultimately the church members being driven en masse into neighboring Illinois under threat of an "Extermination Order" issued by Missouri Gov. Lilburn W. Boggs.

And a right for any person to petition the courts for redress of grievances was written into the First Amendment, the first of ten that legally protect you and me from totalitarian government, including majoritarian tyranny.

The fact that you would actually buy into this poorly written, poorly acted fundamentalist propaganda speaks volumes about your ability to separate truth from fiction, and think critically. I hope that you seek help. Have a nice day.
As I sat down to write this column, I was a bit concerned that some people would be offended by the horrible things I've done. Then again, Americans in general were more worried about Paula leaving American Idol, than they were with Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens retiring and those people wouldn't be reading this anyway.
You want to stand up to tyranny in the name of tolerance? Wow. I'm at a loss for words. Unbelievable. Don't project your flaws on the group of people you wish to oppress and discriminate against. Oh my god?! Really!? "Then what's marriage for?" Why don't you show that to all the widowers who got remarried at an elderly age? Why don't you show it to sterile heterosexuals, and people who have chosen to marry but not have children. Your efforts have nothing to do with children and you know it.
Gays can't have families. The only "families they want are ones where they can indoctrinate children into the homosexual lifestyle and expand the homosexual agenda.
@ChristinaDuffer Isn't it funny how gays always raise their children to be their number one defenders?
Like meat shields.
What could be more sad than the fact that the children of gays feel so strongly compelled to argue that their parents' selfish choices didn't really hurt?
I am so grateful I never had to defend or justify my parents' unethical behavior.
What do gays say when their children ask to meet their absent mom or dad? One assumes they KNOW BETTER than to ask!
@vicorii Meat Shields? HA! It didn't "hurt" growing up with gay parents. It made me open minded. I don't care who my "real" mother was. My dads were enough for me. I never sought her out or was even a bit curious. Theres nothing wrong with straight parents just like there is nothing wrong with Gay parents. I mean Why is it so wrong? Do you know how many infertile women there are? I guess when they adopt a kid that kid wont be hurt not knowing who his/her real mother is? Its not always that way.
You don't mind not being allowed to ask about your real dad, because you were raised understanding that (a) he never wanted you or cared about you and (b) asking questions like that will hurt your poor mom.
Did they pull the Christofascist one with you too? Where if you ask, the bad guys win?
Hey, who cares if you don't have a dad to walk you down the aisle or dance with you at your wedding. It's only GAY weddings that are "important".
@vicorii Hell yea they are more important. Its because they are not allowed. Because people like you wont allow them to be happy. What if 2 gay couple wanted to get married and not have children? Would you say its okay then? Your only defense is "children this children that" Actually one of my fathers sperm was involved with the womans pregnancy. She wanted to have a baby for my fathers. Its not that she didnt want me. it wouldnt hurt their feelings because they gave me the option to know her.
@ChristinaDuffer I have nothing against allowing gay people to be happy, until and unless their happiness depends on the exploitation of children.
Gay marriage relies on pretending that gender is interchangeable, that kinship is irrelevant, and that children can just be swapped around or given to other people as if they were potted plants.
@vicorii Even without Gay people Children would still be sawpped around like "potted plants" Foster Care would still exist even if gay people didnt exist. So many kids go from foster care to foster care and if someone can take them out of that weather they are gay or straight then it really shouldnt matter.
@ChristinaDuffer What you are talking about is a change to the law that would formally prioritize the desires of gay people OVER the rights of the children they are USING.
Why do gay people need to use children? Why do they need to claim other peoples' children? Why does being gay mean they cannot be expected to honor and respect their baby-mama, or baby-daddy, or their lover's baby-mama?
@ma7799 Homosexuality is NOT a LIFESTYLE. It is a sexual orientation. You think anyone would ever choose to be gay. Do you choose to be heterosexual? It has to do with prenatal hormones. Just because we are gay by biology and not by choice doesn't mean we can't live well adjusted lives just like everyone else. Have some gosh darn tolerance and stop telling me how my partner, my religious community and I can and cannot consider our monogamous relationship.
@YesProp8 What about the families of gay parents, or families with gay children? How are they in ANY WAY being protected. How dare you call yourself "ProFamily!" Under NO circumstances are you ProFamily. You are only pro YOUR family. Forget the millions of other families out there that get cut off at the throat for YOUR beliefs. You make me sick and do nothing but stress such a level of vile hatred for that which differs from you. Those other families are NOT inferior to yours and deserve rights
@omiolo Those of us who are educated in fields other than the bs that is theology know that your God is a man-made lie, and even if he were real, we have separation of church and state in this country, so your bible should NOT decide the laws. Gay people exist whether you like it or not, & it is not at all moral to continue to deprive them of the opportunities afforded to heterosexuals when they choose to have a loving, committed relationship with their partners.
"You care about that," Marion said. "People are always saying, 'You must be proud of this' or 'You must be proud of that.' But we are more proud of the lovely person she is than the consummate athlete."
Marion Bright smiled at the man and then glanced at her daughter Torah, who'd just won an Olympics gold medal in the women's half-pipe competition at Cypress Mountain.
While he has a first draft for the final part in the Sugar Bean trilogy, his attentions are now focused on his Mormon expose Divine Fruit/Kundalini Rising,r and will be part of the Phoenix (AZ) Theatre's summer new-works festival.
"It's about a Mormon bishop's wife with a grown gay son, and she disagrees with the church's stand on Prop 8," said Sanders, who was reared as a Mormon. "I've never been excommunicated, but I think this play will take care of that. I give away all the secrets."
The Archdiocese of Washington has scrapped its 80-year old foster care program, claiming it's no longer eligible to serve as an adoption provider due to the District of Columbia's pending same-sex marriage law.
She scored 45 points to defeat defending champion Hannah Teter by 2.6. The 2002 champion, Kelly Clark, fell on her first run, hit the deck on an awkward landing on her second but still took bronze.
And, when I say millions of children, I mean in the U.S. alone. More progressive countries like Canada, South Africa, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Norway have allowed gay marriage for years now.
Children are such a powerful marketing tool. This commercial is all about pricking people's emotions, but it doesn't contain any facts. Here's a fact: millions of children grow up in homosexual households. This has no bearing on their eventual sexuality, and these households provide loving homes for children left ignored by heterosexual couples. Allowing gay couples to marry and adopt would provide homes for some of the 2/3 of unadopted children. Would someone please think of the children?!
You haven't provided or purported to agree with any evidence other than this commercial that gay marriage is bad for children. Clearly, the argument that gay marriage confuses children is not very compelling, as children can be confused by adoption or the concept of heterosexual marriage as well. Stop agreeing with yourself and start thinking critically.
Did you even read my response? Millions of children have been being raised in gay marriages for decades now. There is no empirical evidence to show that homosexual parents are any less able to care for their children than heterosexual parents, and it most certainly has no bearing on children's eventual sexuality. Allowing gay marriage and thus aiding gay adoption would be a big benefit to the 2/3 of children who never get adopted in the U.S.
In my experience, children of homosexual parents have a lot more understanding of homosexuality than you have shown. Why don't you try asking real children what they think of their parents rather than watching paid actors on anti-gay marriage commercials?
I fail to see how your challenge presented a dilemma in any way... Are you trying to imply that heterosexual parenting is more likely to produce famous children? If so, I could care less. I would prefer my children not to be famous, just well taken care of.
In just days, the federal discrimination lawsuit against Protect Marriage and its Proposition 8 campaign staff, is set to go to trial in San Francisco. Word is out that Ted Olson and David Boies, lead attorneys for the opposition, have now petitioned the court to allow the full-blown trial to be televised.
More evidence that gay activists intend to try to put the PEOPLE of California, and anyone who supports traditional marriage, protection of children in marriage, or who opposes gay education in public schools, to be put on trial.
They say give gays cival unions instead of marriage which will give them equal privlages while keeping them seperate. So I wonder why they dont say "prop 8: seperate but equal"
@matthewkeri12345 we should say that same thing with bathrooms and locker rooms. Both are separate but equal, but are defined by GENDER. Just like homosexuality.
Uganda is an exceptionally lush, mostly rural country where conservative Christian groups wield enormous influence. This is, after all, the land of proposed virginity scholarships, songs about Jesus playing in the airport, Uganda is Blessed bumper stickers on Parliament office doors and a suggestion by the presidents wife that a virginity census could be a way to fight AIDS.
Closed minded, Rick Warren supporters who support this narrow vision of what they think is right will only serve to punish families and children. They are cruel, mean spirited people.
President Obama has indicated his support for the measure, which is still awaiting a vote in both the House and Senate. The Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee voted Dec. 16 to forward the legislation on to the full Senate. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee approved it in November.
This year's legislation, sponsored by Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., an openly gay lawmaker, and with 138 cosponsors, would allow for homosexual partners of federal employees to receive the same benefits as married spouses, which include health insurance, survivor annuities, compensation for work-related injuries and travel and relocation benefits.
A 2004 analysis by CBO projected that federal outlays for domestic partners receiving federal benefits would cost about $100 million per year in 2010-2014 if the federal government approved same-sex marriage. Of the total, coverage for same-sex spouses of retired enrollees in the FEHB program would cost the government less than $50 million a year through 2014.
The 2004 report was written at the request of then-Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, an opponent of same sex marriage.
It didn't make everyone fund them but it got enough people with brains in their head to support (with votes a good campaign to help America not go down in flames.
that little girl should have stayed in the foster system where she would have been unwanted abused and addicted to drugs by the age of 14. i bet she is so mad at her two father who are making her life a living he||.
Actually, it's quite inaccurate. I don't think it paints the homosexuals as terrible parents, like ChibbySu - they actually come across as loving providers. They also come off as clueless, though, ill-prepared to answer questions that any homosexual parents would give serious thought to in the real world.
you are right but the fact that it is true could be why I agree with it. They are raising the child but they are screwing the child up and going to harm the child in the long run.
How does this commercial show the situation in the correct light? As I've already told mental midget foreerknight99, it paints the parents as ill-prepared to answer crucial questions which they would clearly have thought about ahead of time. Also, it's a Yes on 8 commercial, so its incorrectness is already a given.
Nope, I'm sensible enough to call the truth truth. Our country has the responsibility of protecting the rights of the minority from the majority - meaning that we don't leave the rights of a minority up to public opinion. Had that been the case, blacks would not have gained equal rights. It's simply not constitutional to throw such crucial things to the whims of public opinion.
And any survey on gay marriage that favors so-called "traditional" marriage has been very, very close.
poor nikki, the mental midget here seems to be confusing himself with me I"m sorry for you ignorance but the facts speak for themselves when I have shown you plenty of evidence and then shown you how stupid you sound and yet you have to make stupid comments like this. Obviously homos are incompetent so no they wouldn't if they weren't morons they wouldn't be homos. the incorrectness is on morons who were against prop 8. P.S. Maine was another win for the good guys.
The Good guys want right to beat out wrong and therefore Maine, Cali and all the other places where homosexuals are losing are all wins for the good guys.
Hate and discrimination isn't right but right won in Cali, and maine. or should we lower the consent age to 13 for pedos so they can express their "love" the same way homos want to.

There is sooo much more to marriage than breeding.

jml1230 1 year ago
The commercial stated that if people can't biologically have children, they shouldn't wed. Lots of straight couples don't have kids, but that's okay, while a lot of gay couples adopt, but that's NOT okay? Where do these people come up with their logic? To me, it seems those two men got married so they COULD adopt, which is a very beautiful and okay thing. YesProp8, do you realize how hard it is to adopt an American child when you're not married? Please do some research before putting up videos.

Also, the real meaning of marriage should be about love, not sexual orientation.

CaptainMatey 1 year ago
I feel this is commercial is not only an attack on gay parents, but also on unmarried straight couples and single parents as well.
I know a mother has a rape child - a man raped her and she got pregnant. She's single an unmarried, but she loves her child dearly. She's a wonderful mom.
What about people who want to adopt children to help them and give them a better life than an orphanage? At least married gay couples could give these children a good life.
CaptainMatey 1 year ago 9
You don't need a freaking marriage to have a child, and to be a good parent.
There are plenty of single people out there that aren't married. Many unmarried straight couples that are fine parents.
A family doesn't need to be a "perfect" cookie cutter family to be a good family - it doesn't matter.
The two gay fathers in this video couldn've done a better job explaining - Marriage is an agreement to spent the rest of your life with your significant other, the one you love.
CaptainMatey 1 year ago
I know a girl who went through many foster homes as a kid. Most of the homes were horrible - She got beaten, abused, molested, raped; it's a wonder how she turned out the way she has - she's a wonderful person with a lot of promise and a bright future ahead of her
She said the best foster home she ever had was with a gay couple - they treated her like a princess and she says she owes her life to them. Then she got pulled out because they found out they were gay, and got raped by her next family

Zeekaice 1 year ago
@Zeekaice "I'm just asking for equal rights." please let me know SPECIFICALLY what RIGHT you are NOT given. Because I have a right to marry someone of the OPPOSITE sex. I am pretty sure you have the SAME right. I am NOT sure of ANY law that regulates LOVE. So that point of yours makes NO sense.
omiolo 1 year ago
@Zeekaice I just realized that if you are a polygamist or involved in incest you do NOT have the right to marry anyone of the opposite sex. vicorii 1 year ago
Zeekaice 1 year ago
@Zeekaice I know a guy who could say with a straight face that his father whipped him with a leather belt, and that it's right, normal and proper to beat a kid with a belt.
The children of gays are pressured from birth to feel a certain way. That in itself is child abuse.
It is normal and healthy for a motherless or fatherless child to grieve, and to ask after the missing parent, and care about the parents' motives for abandoning them. That gays deliberately stifle this proves what, exactly?

vicorii 1 year ago
@vicorii Meat Shields? HA! It didn't "hurt" growing up with gay parents. It made me open minded. I don't care who my "real" mother was. My dads were enough for me. Do you know how many infertile women there are? I guess when they adopt a kid that kid wont be hurt not knowing who his/her real mother is? Its not always that way.
ChristinaDuffer 1 year ago
@ChristinaDuffer Sure, it doesn't hurt being fatherless.
It's only GAY weddings that are "important".
vicorii 1 year ago
@vicorii Hell yea they are more important. Its because they are not allowed. Because people like you wont allow them to be happy. What if 2 gay couple wanted to get married and not have children? Would you say its okay then? Your only defense is "children this children that" Actually one of my fathers sperm was involved with the womans pregnancy. She wanted to have a baby for my fathers. Its not that she didnt want me. it wouldnt hurt their feelings because they gave me the option to know her.
ChristinaDuffer 1 year ago
@ChristinaDuffer I have nothing against allowing gay people to be happy, until and unless their happiness depends on the exploitation of children.
Gay marriage relies on pretending that gender is interchangeable, that kinship is irrelevant, and that children can just be swapped around or given to other people as if they were potted plants.
vicorii 1 year ago
@vicorii Even without Gay people Children would still be sawpped around like "potted plants" Foster Care would still exist even if gay people didnt exist. So many kids go from foster care to foster care and if someone can take them out of that weather they are gay or straight then it really shouldnt matter.
ChristinaDuffer 1 year ago
@ChristinaDuffer What you are talking about is a change to the law that would formally prioritize the desires of gay people OVER the rights of the children they are USING.
Why do gay people need to use children? Why do they need to claim other peoples' children? Why does being gay mean they cannot be expected to honor and respect their baby-mama, or baby-daddy, or their lover's baby-mama?
vicorii 1 year ago
@ma7799 Homosexuality is NOT a LIFESTYLE. It is a sexual orientation. You think anyone would ever choose to be gay. Do you choose to be heterosexual? It has to do with prenatal hormones. Would someone please think of the children?!
danielsir 1 year ago
typical NO on Pro 8 response. Try to get people to FORGET about the children!
Because, why do children matter, it should ONLY be about the immediate gratification of adults.
omiolo 1 year ago
You haven't provided or purported to agree with any evidence other than this commercial that gay marriage is bad for children. Clearly, the argument that gay marriage confuses children is not very compelling, as children can be confused by adoption or the concept of heterosexual marriage as well. Stop agreeing with yourself and start thinking critically.
danielsir 1 year ago
Did you even read my response? Millions of children have been being raised in gay marriages for decades now. There is no empirical evidence to show that homosexual parents are any less able to care for their children than heterosexual parents, and it most certainly has no bearing on children's eventual sexuality. Allowing gay marriage and thus aiding gay adoption would be a big benefit to the 2/3 of children who never get adopted in the U.S.

Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, an opponent of same sex marriage.

seriously? I thought this was one of the most stupidest things I've ever seen.
moved you enough to make you fund a campaign of ignorance?
ScarletAddicted 2 years ago 3
It didn't make everyone fund them but it got enough people with brains in their head to support (with votes a good campaign to help America not go down in flames.

that little girl should have stayed in the foster system where she would have been unwanted abused and addicted to drugs by the age of 14. i bet she is so mad at her two father who are making her life a living he||.

Umm, I just LOVE how they make the two gay guys look like they're terrible parents. = = I mean, seriously, it's really inaccurate.
ChibbySu 2 years ago 4
obviously it's not inaccurate it's the truth, just because you don't like it doesnt' make it wrong.
foreerknight99 2 years ago 2
Actually, it's quite inaccurate. I don't think it paints the homosexuals as terrible parents, like ChibbySu - they actually come across as loving providers. They also come off as clueless, though, ill-prepared to answer questions that any homosexual parents would give serious thought to in the real world.
nekkidandrew 2 years ago
no it's very accurate in that homos shouldn't be parents because they are ill-prepared and incompotent as parents.
foreerknight99 2 years ago 2
just because you agree with it doesnt make it true
i know a few homosexual parents who are raising their child just fine
idaman12345 2 years ago
you are right but the fact that it is true could be why I agree with it. They are raising the child but they are screwing the child up and going to harm the child in the long run.
foreerknight99 2 years ago
How does it make them look like they're terrible? Sitting around as a family, reading a book, answering their child's questions... Terrible???
These are questions that ANY child would ask their homosexual parents...
You just don't like the fact that it shows the situation in the correct light.
DavidLynch007 2 years ago 2
How does this commercial show the situation in the correct light? As I've already told mental midget foreerknight99, it paints the parents as ill-prepared to answer crucial questions which they would clearly have thought about ahead of time. Also, it's a Yes on 8 commercial, so its incorrectness is already a given.
nekkidandrew 2 years ago
This is much more problematic than not being able to answer certain questions...
Homosexuals should NOT be parents! They should NOT be allowed to marry!
Marriage is between a man and a woman ONLY!
DavidLynch007 2 years ago 2
Actually, they should be parents, and should be allowed to marry.
I'm just throwing you some truth here. Take it or leave it.
nekkidandrew 2 years ago
Uh huh, and you're arrogant enough to call your own opinion "truth"...
Most people don't want gay marriage, as it is revealed in statistics.
Now THAT is truth. Take it or leave it.
DavidLynch007 2 years ago 3
Nope, I'm sensible enough to call the truth truth. Our country has the responsibility of protecting the rights of the minority from the majority - meaning that we don't leave the rights of a minority up to public opinion. Had that been the case, blacks would not have gained equal rights. It's simply not constitutional to throw such crucial things to the whims of public opinion.
And any survey on gay marriage that favors so-called "traditional" marriage has been very, very close.
nekkidandrew 2 years ago 4
i say religious people should not have children
idaman12345 2 years ago
That is because you are a bigoted piece of scum.
foreerknight99 2 years ago
poor nikki, the mental midget here seems to be confusing himself with me I"m sorry for you ignorance but the facts speak for themselves when I have shown you plenty of evidence and then shown you how stupid you sound and yet you have to make stupid comments like this. Obviously homos are incompetent so no they wouldn't if they weren't morons they wouldn't be homos. the incorrectness is on morons who were against prop 8. P.S. Maine was another win for the good guys.
foreerknight99 2 years ago 2
"good guys" do not discriminate
maine was not a win for the "good guys"
idaman12345 2 years ago
The Good guys want right to beat out wrong and therefore Maine, Cali and all the other places where homosexuals are losing are all wins for the good guys.
foreerknight99 2 years ago
your right, on the first part
good guys want right out beat out wrong hate and discrimination is not right
therefore the good guys lost in cali and maine
idaman12345 2 years ago
Hate and discrimination isn't right but right won in Cali, and maine. or should we lower the consent age to 13 for pedos so they can express their "love" the same way homos want to.
