At this time Madhuri was the biggest star of bollywood. Though Amir is very cute and good here, Madhuri overshadowed him in this film as she used to do all her male co-stars in those days.

@kote2005, you are quite wrong, actually this movie made Madhuri the biggest star in bollywood for winning Filmfare award for it, her success in movies like sajan, beta etc came after this movie Dil. Before this movie she was not considered a big star by any means
