I didnt know that was KRS ONE playing the piano in this song...that nigga dope & I admire him from sampling this beat from that jamaican dude and being a jamaican sounding rapper. His whole style was dope.
i love this song i like how he kinda uses a lil of the beat from billy joel's 1980 song "its still rock and roll to me" specially at the end i wouldn't have noticed if i didn't listen to oldie music when growing up its wicked <3
if you like this you should like Slick Rick, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Eric B. & Rakim. You don't have to be black to like old rap that smokes new rap outta the water.
One of the ultimate Hip Hop banga's! To call yourself as much, this is a must in your repertoire... put'cha lighters up on this joint, just watch out for flames while doing the hardest whop yo' body can muster!-
This came out almost 25 years ago and is still one of the hardest diss songs I've ever heard.... KRS - 1 ripped the juice crew a new one behind this shit !!!! When this came out and the song" The South Bronx " everyone was playing this in their cars, in their houses, ( with the speakers sticking out the windows) or on those big ass boom boxes. ( where you had to lean to one side cause that shit was dumb heavy in one hand ). Man ..... I loved that ignorant shit, Man !!!! Thanks for the flash
Man This song sucks!! Where's the references to shorties at the club. Where's the fucking sweet ass R&B hook that makes rap music what it is today. Holy Fucking shit new so called rap artist listen to this song over and over until you get a clue! And stop coming up with a new goddamn dance to every stupid radio friendly bullshit song you call music listen and study this shit you just heard cuse you guys haven't a clue how to speak
@djwwhokid Using a term like arce let's me already know what you're about and where you're from. Why don't you stick to things you know Gay German Club music and Spotted Dick you Stupid Motherfucker! Fucking Wanker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KRIS I AM A BIG FAN OF BDP. 1975- TILLL I DIE LOVE THE MUSIC B'CUZ U GOT A MESSAGE AND IT CONTINUES !!!!!. LIFE AND HIPHOP IS MIXED SO GET IT RITE U FAGS!!.
man i love this beat for some reason lol its just soo classic . i even remade this on my channel and had my boy splash freestyle over it . we went in !! lol
How this get 27,000 views ? This should get 27 million views !!!!
Back in the days , it was everyman for him self ... it was ALL BEEF BACK IN THE DAYS ! If you was on the Top ... Then you was KRS-1's Target ... ANd he'll rip you in half .... Just a lil' History for your younginsss ;)
lol. it just occurred to me that this song proves how far hip hop has come from its roots because NOBODY, not even the rawest MC, would make a record like this now. to make a diss like this where KRS basically called out the whole QB would be to politically incorrect for the game now. couldn't have dropped at any other time in hip hop history, real talk.
This beat is infamous.

This is a perfect example of the fact that LESS is MORE !!!!!!!
The beat is simple. There isnt a lot of clutter or noise or fill in the background.
Even a 5 year old can sit down at your grandmothers piano and eventually pick up the rather simple piano part.
Those of us who were around when this was new probably knew way back then that this album would become a timeless classic.
