@jwilkins41 I have never done long jump before and got 20' my first try by just going all out. My track coach was really impressed and told me to do some research. So my question is What exactly do u mean by not going all out until the last couple steps? Could you be more specific. Thanks I appreciate it.
@77track i saw your video and what i noticed was when you start off you start off goin full speed. You wana drive your feet. The rhythm should be like a train. You almost wanna bounce but not go full speed until your last couple steps. So get your steps redone and really drive. I used to only jump 19"3' when i started all out. Now i jump 22 feet. So try that it helped me significantly

Any of you guys do Long Jump for high school or college? People say the key to long jump is speed and hieght. Im super skinny never worked out. My 100 time is 11.9. And my best long jump is 20ft 2in. When I jump I dont get any hieght. Because my legs are so weak. My vertical is like 23 or 24 lol. But If I lift like crazy get my vertical to like 35 and drop my 100 time to like 11.3. Do you think I would be able to long jump like 23ft or 24ft?
Really cool video! But may I say that for the hitch kick, you need to focus on cycling the arms just as much as the legs, because it is with both of them moving that gives the hitch kick it's power. It's my favorite jump form!
