  • I hope this locomotive someday gets the chance to stomp around on a class 1 run. With 79 inch drivers, that's what she's designed for!

  • Wonderful engine with a full throated whistle! Thanks!

  • @Hendo56 Thanks for the comment! That is one of the best whistles I've heard.

  • From an old retired ATSF Locomotive Engineer that use to throttle jerk Baldwin 2-6-2s and 4-8-4s 1948 to 1949 then along come the Diesels until 1974. This is one great looking Baldwin 4-6-2. Great video of great memories :-)

  • @MrCraig1930 Thanks! I love those ATSF Baldwin 2-6-2's! In fact, my favorite locomotive is one of those!

  • @atsf3415dbr I have picture of one on my channel I use to operate in 1948. It's now a Museum piece in Wellington, Kansas.

  • You Bet, A "family reunion" like that is always great ! It's a shame however that BNSF "derailed" 3751's journey east this summer. No tellin' when she will get out now.

  • @trains365 - Don't knock BNSF. If they decide not to allow steam on their tracks at all, a large number of west coast steamers will be marooned with nowhere to go, among them 4449 and 3751. Honestly, we should be kissing their feet because you know as well as I do that UP will never relent on their 'no foreign steam' policy.

  • Sure would be nice to see her meet up with Santa Fe 4-8-4 2926 from Albuquerque some day!

  • @trains365 Sure would! It'd be even nicer if she could meet up with 2926 and 3751 at the same time!

  • Now she needs a bell!

  • @camposwilliam62 She already has a bell.

  • love those at&sf 6 chimes!

  • To bad they don't go more than 5 mph

  • @Chadr7850 They go up to 15 with her. 5 is their fastest speed with the diesel, though.

  • Cool 1 Doug!

    Too bad i was'nt there.

Infact I was and still planing to join 3415's crew but sad part is shes over 5 hours away from me and my dad don't wanna go that far.

  • Lovely shots 5/5

  • Great shots. Where was this taken? - Thanks

  • It started out in Enterprise, KS, and ended in Abilene, KS.
