As someone who has studied all of Ayn Rand's work, I can definately say this song was very much inspired by Ayn Rand and Objectionism. While not related as much as the song 2112 to the book Anthem, the overall philosophy is spot on!
"Anthem" by rush was not at all inspired by Ayn Rand's, "Anthem", although, which everyone knows, Neil Peart's lyrics from 2112 is directly related through "anthem". Sorry for pointing out the obvious
