Watchmen and The Dark Knight couldn't hold a candle to this movie. If you want to make a perfect comic book movie, you have to go by the book -- literally. But with those other movies that were supposed to be aimed to mainstream audiences, there's always a fine line between keeping die-hard fans happy and keeping the general public (who doesn't know the comic) happy. Here, nobody does any favors to them. This was for the fans and as a result, it's the most accurate comic film you can think of.

Every charachter in that movie was awesome in thier own way. The reason it was so good, as you pointed out, is b/c they made it to please the fans and took it right out of the pages of the graphic novels. It was like you were watching the comic and turning the pages. i can't wait for the sequel
