@konfuzed559 wrong. rice is the term given to anyone who puts ridiculous modifiications on a car which generally happen to be 95% imports. But even muscle cars can be "riced up." ive seen some mustangs (my favourite car) look worse and more rice than an 89 honda civic with cardboard for a body kit.

Ok first off the GTO depending if it was the 5.7L was 350 hp or if it was the 6.0L it was 400 hp. So that plus a turbo would smoke that Cavalier that probably had a half ass turbo set up on it. Goat wins, I'm a Cavalier owner and they have nothing on a GTO. Australians know what they're doing.

Hey buddy. As a former 2.4L owner I strongly recommend you do no such thing to that engine. the 2.4 is the most problematic engine that GM ever produced. If you are serious about turning your Sunfire or Cav into a monster you should swap the 2.4L for a GM V6. a 3.1L will fit nicley. a 3.8L will barley fit. And if a 240hp doesnt sell you how about knowing that the 3800 is the most reliable engine made by GM. Id like to know more about your Cav and give you some advice if you're interested. -Peace

i'd have to agree with Keeton, i myself have a 96' chevy lumina that i dropped a 3.8 series2 into it. cold air intake , T50 turbo kit, LTZ dual exhaust. It sounds nice....be nice if only i could fit a 5.7L v8 like in the 95' impala's and the new impala's that just came out with the V8

actually i know the owner of the GTO and the passenger of the GTO. The GTO was going all out and he knew he was racing just like heartless6 said he was reving it up all night at the pavillions car show and at the light before getting on the freeway was egging on the cavalier. The cav knew he was going to smoke him...... although after a great sum of money recently dumped into the motor of the GTO he would stand no chance!
