  • love petes guitar solo epic!

  • Where would you place The Stargazars on the Top Gear Cool Wall ?

  • @JSavic they don't have a section cool enough on their wall at top gear for these guys

  • @bluemoonboy1956 spindriftrecords

  • geant !

  • yeh bobflames i agree.isaw them support fats dominio in london in 1981.

  • A consistently brilliant band, no matter what the line up! They've been taking it easy for a year or two but the Planet Jive web site reports they're working on a new album and will be back on the road in 2010. Thanks for posting this clip. ROCK'N'ROLL!!!

  • you could make this tune a top club hit,,with the right tweeks here and there,,,i

  • should have been a hit..there best track!!

  • Stargazers...u guys were the daddio's so Cool!! would dance to your stuff down at the "Greenman" wine bar in Croydon back in the late 80's....had your 1st album your version of " Tossin & Turnin" was Brillant...nice post and cool video

  • What a BAND! What a STYLE!!!

  • This is the REAL Neo-Swing. I've seen them a few times and shared the stage with them at a Rockhouse meeting in holland in '90 or '91.

These guys are really the best!

  • Loved them in the early 80s

  • I loved WATCH THIS SPACE lp.... a true classic. The Stargazers were stepping on new ground when they mixed rockabilly with tin-pan alley jazz. Now people think Brian Setzer invented the swing/Rockabilly mix..... guess what.... bands were doing it before (and often better)

  • never be a band to replace the stargazers....allen paris

  • remember seeing you live in the early 80,awesome group great to be able to watch again great post doowoprick. top rated from me.

    Ricky Lee Brawn.

PS. Someday I will put all of the stargazers stuff on You Tube.

  • i first saw the Stargazers playing support to Shakin Stevens in Dublin in the early 80s and im delighted to see them again on utube.

  • Hi Ricky, i remember seeing you at the heineken festival in nottingham, oooh about 25 years ago- ish, you guys were a breath of fresh air to the rock n roll/rockabilly/swing scene, just love your stuff

  • Goldenyello. Was that the festival I went to many moons ago? Other acts included Billy Fury and Screaming Lord Sutch.

  • I first heard the Stargazers in 1981. It was the Groove Baby,Groove E.P. which got me into Bill Haley, Louis Prima and swing and doo-wop music. Twenty six years later, I am trawling through YouTube watching Louis Prima clips which led me to his recording of 'Hey Marie' then eventually to this! So now Louis Prima is responsible for me listening to the Stargazers all over again!

  • Thanks for your comments! We recorded this show in the Tyne Tees studio, Newcastle in 1982. Just look at the kids faces - A mixture of boredom and bewilderment!

    Keep Rocking!
