  • that's pretty cool. How did you discover that?

  • hi so if i put the polarity one way it gets hot and swap it goes cold but do both side go hot or cold at same time or do each side do same thing, so cold cold one polarity and hot hot or hot cold ect you get what i mean

  • @TheMrgoughy One side is always cold and the other is always hot. Reverse the polarity and they change sides. (Hot becomes cold and cold becomes hot)

  • Hi, I have a few questions about your experiment

1)what many watts did the peltier cooler generate?

2)how many watts is your peltier cooler? (80W? 92W?)

3)how many mL of water was that?

  • fake!!

  • @razor21212121 Dumb!!

  • Oi, i have one question. I think i may have a faulty peltier because the corner of the cool side where the black wire gets quite hot. Does that also happen in your setup?

It's weird 70% of my cold side is freezing the corner gets hot to the touch. Weird

  • @Faralite that may be caused by a heat sink not removing enough heat from it make sure to put a generus amount of thermal grease and and a fan to remove the heat from the heatsink or it could be a faulty unit but i would try this first then if it doesnt help then contact the person you bought it from

  • @Elliotvisualeffects Or maybe he is using a lower power TEC. I mean there is no doubt that attaching a heatsink and a fan will remove heat from the hot side faster but you can't say it is too slow because he is using passive cooling.

Also, it looks like 12V is being used which is probably lower than the 15V the module requires and so there will be lower cooling power.

  • which electronic component is that, and where can i find it? please reply☺☺☺☺XDXDXDXDXD:):):):):):):):):)

  • @TheSupertecnology its a peltier element you can buy em off ebay.

  • I recently bought a kit car that has no A/C kits available for it, so I will be using these thermoelectric heat pumps, and will have around 5,000 watts worth of them.

  • fuck u

  • we're running it at 12V probably 5+ amp so at least 60 watts. That's only a guess, its been over a year since we played with it.

  • How many watt is that Peltier(TEC) and im guessing 12v?

  • thats wax man

  • @rskora

It's water but we had to dye it blue. The camera can't pick it up without the dye. Also keep in mind that peltier element is running at a few AMPs and the aluminum heatsink is cooling the other side as an infinite heat sink. If you let it run long enough the peltier will over heat and melt the ice back into water.

  • At my Peltier, it took more than 5 sec

  • Can someone give me the name of the song, please?

  • @Tombocat9

Name is Ratitat - 17 Years

  • i made a box with these in it so i can chill my 12 pack quickly. lol

  • that was not ice

  • How many peltiers I need to build an air conditioner? and how much watts it will consume? suposing this will have the same power of a 1 ton Air conditioner

  • roughly a couple thousand peltiers consuming 20Kw. peltiers are very inefficient,

  • @SpeedMetal4635 why dont you make one like im makin for a science fair (5th grade) U NEED : 12v peltier heatsink small for cold and big for hot with 2 fans that match the heatsink's size and a 12 v adapter (IM Using universal) o yeah, umm 1 peltier and it will consume more than 90 watts if im not mistaken. and UHHH, NO it wont have the same power of a 1 ton Air conditioner

    SKTROPPZ| SpeedMetal4635

  • @sktropzz wow, thanks

  • you should d make a larger scale of this

  • that it wax! ice is not looking like that ;)

  • @hexyournightmare Yeah, the surface is to shiny :D

  • wow!! so cool. love this experiment!!

  • I wonder what type of current one of these needs just to be cool. Imagine an arrangement with one of these on the back of your neck during the summer.

  • y dont thay use that in conputers to keep them cool ?

  • Well they do, but I believe it usually requires water cooling to transport the heat away from the other side of the peltier plate. These also use alot of current and aren't very efficient.

  • For every one watt of heat energy transferred, an average peltier cooler needs one watt of electrical energy. So if your CPU is generating 150 Watts of heat, your peltier will need 150 Watts of electricity to cool it, and the heatsink on the hot side of the Peltier cooler will need to deal with 150W + 150W = 300W of heat. They don't make air cooled heatsinks that can handle that kind of heat, so you'll need water cooling for the hot side...

  • they do

  • I was hoping for a music citation. Do you know the source?

  • This music was from the "Ratitat" band.

  • @fashnek I think it's "17 years" by Ratatat

  • @TKTmon Yeah, I got it. Seventeen Years. I forgot to go back and reply I guess. Thanks!
