No matter HOW much I train Lightgazer is a Problem for me in every Playthrough. Given that he can cast Saint Sword on you which heals him and his high Attack Power makes this Battle Insane.

i have a story to tell about my 2nd playthrough even though i didnt finish 1st time completely

you know how theres days and say if u fight xan bie on salamandos day he is more powerful? well i fought each god beast on their governing days ON ACCIDENT because i didnt know that they do better

Lightgazer is the Best Godbeast i think, then Land umber and then Mispolm =3

Nope, the thing is when you defeat one the next up 2 levels, you can see that in the monsters, i defeated 3 boss and in the next area that where i play the monsters where on level 36 and me on 31

i usually pick ninja master because of the multi targeted jutsu+

i find this boss easier if u fight him within the first 3 bosses you kill

i have Angela(Rune Master) Leis(Vandalis) and Hawk(Wanderer) and i think the stat up spells that combo has got every thing ur damage dealer ur buffer and ur magic attack

Damn Kevin+Hawk do a lot of damage quick, which is what matters against this boss (who keeps blinking in and out of vulnerability). Took me twice as long with Duran+Lise+Angela (all going light/dark). Hawk seems too be hitting harder than Duran did with Lise's stat ups though which is odd. I did this god beast last so maybe thats why.

I played this game countless times with many party configurations.

If SD3 were remade I would suggest more distinction between Angela's Grand Divina and Arch Mage classes (Lv 3 Holy Spell or a Holy counterpart of Black Curse), bonus areas, more Holy-based enemies to make Dark Saber/spells more useful, make Energy Ball work properly and maybe touch up on the graphics (eg. Kevin's Dark classes' FSTs)

This boss is annoying because you can't hit him when his eye is closed. You can't even get him with spells.

This guy's not too tough. If you have Duran as a Duelist (who can learn Dark Sabre), then Lightgazer is beyond easy.

Uh yeah but this is one of the only bosses where Dark Saber has ANY use.

And i don't really like choosing my professions only for one boss in the entire game. >_>

But the Duelist is fucking powerful nonetheless--in terms of physical attack power, it's the strongest! And Dark Saber can also be useful against Heath--don't forget that (but of course, that's only if you start with Kevin or Carlie).

Actually Swordmaster is almost as powerful and he has much more useful skills in that class. :P

people who think Duelist is better than Swordmaster make me laugh really bad. swordmaster = infinite mp/hp on all chars

@fulgorestyle All Duelist has over Swordmaster is slightly higher attack and a full screen tech, albeit the strongest in the game, and the nigh-useless Dark Sabre. Swordmaster is definitely better, but I usually have Carlie as a Sage in my party, and don't like doubling up Sabres or healing so I tend to ignore Duran entirely ^_^

Of course, when I don't have Carlie, I prefer Swordmaster I have to say.
