Just to clarify, Paul did this song SOLO...later with the first (and only line up of wings I count as being of any relevance in 1976 on his Wings over America Tour and triple album) To Clear it it it is BABY I'm AMAZED not MAYBE clear as a bell on the McCartney LP.... when he sang live I think he put marbles in his mouth....hard to understand his english. This comming from a huge McCartney Fan so please, don't blast me for my opinion. TY Peace and love
@tim20091966 The song title is definitely Maybe I'm Amazed, if that is what you were referring to. As far as the lyrics go, both "Maybe I'm Amazed..." and "Baby I'm Amazed..." are in the song at various points.
Before I liked the Beatles, I loved all of Paul's songs. Soon enough I found enough that all those great spngs were his. Though you may not be in my top ten people, I guess i'm trying to say... kudos to you, Paul. I don't know what I'd be today without your great music.
who else on this planet could write a piece of magic like this and not even need to release it as a single,it,s even better on wings over america live.It can stand shoulder to shoulder with let it be and every other classic.
@suudsuz omg i really hope you're joking again. Wings was a band with paul mccartney after the beatles broke up which is the band that made this song. And the singer in aerosmith is steven tyler and none of the beatles were ever in aerosmith. im sorry if this is a joke and i just seem like a jerk because sarcasm doesn't convey well over the internet so yeah.
@suudsuz okay i'm sorry i didn't understand your HILARIOUS joke. i really am. it's just so fricken hard to convey sarcasm over the internet. and don't reply what joke. ha.
@ILoveSprite94 your right about everything but the wings weren't a band yet when this song was created. paul recorded every instrument to this song by himself. and suudsuz must be really stupid if he/she thought that paul mccartney was in aerosmith and doesnt know who the beatles are. im just guessing they're playing dumb just to piss you off.
@treejahone there are such bands today. It's simply that the music industry is now splintered into 1000+ sub-genres. In the Beatles' time, there used to be pop, country, and rock. Nowadays the Beatles would be a niche alternative group with a cult following. Check out Elliott Smith, the Black Keys, Flaming Lips, Eels, Pavement/Steve Malkmus, Ween, Beck...there's plenty today that'll last the test of time.
What I mean by neoclassical, is that we need songwriters of today to start producing stuff that we can listen to in 20 years and say wow thats a classic. I am sorry but I find todays music rather stagnating, there's no real original music, ground breaking stuff, something people can say, "wow, have you ever listened to this".
One of favs, man I miss the good songwriters, because today all we hear is rehashed(nothing is new under the sun) crap. Come on songwriters of today, lets hear some neoclassic stuff.
@treejahone Why does it have to be neoclasssic? C'mon man, you can't say the Beatles invented Rock'n'Roll. They wrote their own kind of music. And that is what is happening these days, you just don't look on the radio for it. I can name at least twenty original and creative songwriters publishing in various areas of music today. If you want neoclassic stuff, the rehashed music is for you, because what they're rehashing is the classics.

@spellbound153 Not THAT great as the melody is repetitive ; it should be a lot shorter because of this with just one instrumental break / guitar solo as it just goes on & on ; the best song on this album is Every Night
Beautiful! I love this song and the pictures that go along with it are so heart warming. :) I love the photos of Paul and Heather, such a pretty child! Also, Linda is look absolutely radiant. :D I'm generally not a fan of her look (though she seemed like a very nice women, just physically didn't appeal to me), she really looks downright beautiful here. <3
I think this video really shows the love they shared...
This is Paul McCartney, not Ringo and not The Beatles. Can you read?

I love both guitar solos. Sir Paul's "Maybe I'm Amazed" is to George Harrison's "Something".

The song makes me think that he was talking about John, but I'm just obsessive over that bromance, so probably not.

at the time that PM wrote this song the last person he would be writing about would be JL.

Still my favorite version of the song. It doesn't drag about like the Wings live cut, though the perfect version would be this plus the Wings ending.
