Is that Logic 9.1.6 ? That is quite an obvious bug, how can they miss it. I guess you tried closing both with the short-cut V and the plug-in button. You have non-Apple plug-in from the start, does it matter? ..You have to buy a PM (plug-in monitor) problem solved :)

I think something is wrong with your sistem - I Opened 16 plugins (then I got bored), tweaked them and closed, while song with 33 tracks were playing. Everything worked fine.
