feels too slow for me, rhythmically. the structure of the song got blurry, too. and i so love Joni's emphasis on "illusions" that totally got lost in this version...
i know it's not supposed to be the same, but i just felt that the song lost a part of it's charm because of the above.

Was it just the "Don't know life/love" line that drew you to this song, or do you have your eye on more of hers? Perfectly lovely singing. Her guitar parts were tricky, weren't they?

Underbara Elina! I actually prefer this before Joni Mitchell's own version. There's something about your way of singing that I love, I'm not sure what it is. But there's joy there, love for the song, a relaxed and unpretentious attitude, a beautiful voice. The love for the song is an important reason, that's for sure.

Joni Mitchell wrote this song in 1967, and released it on an album in 1969.
Judy Collins however released it first, in 1968.
