I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know You are the only way to God. So now I want to quit disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive me, change my life and show me how to know You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
breeeegs: although Churchill hated Stalin, I think Ezra would have been quite pleased with "churchill's paw on stalins mane". We should remember that Pound's classic "In a Station of the Metro" was originally 30 lines long. Like Pound did with the Waste Land, its all about cutting out the superfluous. Alot easier said then done and Ezra excelled at that (and getting his 'pretentious' on) like few others who have lived.

Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know You are the only way to God. So now I want to quit disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive me, change my life and show me how to know You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I've always assumed he had Henri Gaudier-Brzeska in mind when he wrote this passage. Such a waste. And the greatest died first, ashamed to show fear.

Daring as never before, wastage as never before.
Young blood and high blood,
fair cheeks, and fine bodies;
fortitude as never before
frankness as never before,
disillusions as never told in the old days,
hysterias, trench confessions,
laughter out of dead bellies.
