She did compete on UB as well at the Nationals! She was 2nd in the AA, but i haven't found the id yet!

Her full turn is amazing! There is no gymnast in the world who does it right and she just nailed it! This is such a precise routine, packed with difficulty. If she can improve her bars she'll be an excellent all-arounder!

Now has anyone ever seen Cheng Fei do bars? I've yet to see her do bars... she's a bit like Ponor - good on VT, BB and FX but you never see her on UB. Mind you, I've found an old clip of Ponor on UB on youtube...

I refuse to learn this nucode but I would have thought she'd have a higher A score than 5.8

i think she got really underscored with that routine. she even nailed her full and there was only a small wobble in her back tuck. her dismount was tripple twist in combo and she get's 13.950, what kind of judgement is that?

The judges were being extra vigilant about deductions in preparation for the Worlds and Olympics, hence the low scores

So it's exactly the opposite of what happens at the American Cup, where gymnast receive the most ridiculous SVs and execution scores and then complain when they can't repeat them at the Worlds.

Pretty much. Americans thrive on confidence, hence the high scores. Chinese get motivation through potential to improve, which is why internally they score them low so they stive for higher scores and hence better routines next time.
